Is it gravel alone, better than anything anyway?

How's it better?

Looks more like filling portholes and not reconstruction work.

Jokers

I'm just fed up with the system of governance and the thought pattern of our politicians.

Monthly maintenance of roads saves more money than waiting for destruction of the road before repairs. Sure will cost far less fixing a 20 by 20 cm pothole in January than wait it December when it would have become size of a tennis court.

What annoys me the most is every state has staffs employed to road maintenance agencies who receive monthly salaries but work in offices instead of going out to maintain roads.

If they fix d 20 by 20 pothole immediately instead of waiting for it to become a deep pit, how will they eat money

Cars with strong tyres will climb the gravel and navigate through.

This road requires more than just filling it with rocks, i guess this is just meant to serve for a while. This road requires total reconstruction.

What has travelling got to do with this. For your info, the St Luke Anglican Church, Fulham, where Captain Hosa service of song was done, I attended in London. Not too far from Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham grounds. No more comment.

This must be rehabilitation for a temporary fix. Certainly not wholesale reconstruction. Dumping rocks in mud is shoddy and not a good idea at all. Bad soil (spoil) will never support anything placed on it. The mud must be removed to whatever depth is undisturbed and replaced with fresh, silt free granular material. I've seen this kind of thing happen many times and it never ends well.

Ogun State Governor is the worst performing Governor in South West.
If not for greed of some people and stomach infrastructure, this man does not deserve to be nominated for 2nd term talk-less of voting for him.

As you know,Nigerians forget their pain so fast.
Come next election, you will see them dancing behind him after collecting a cup of rice.
Lol...

What the people of that area should demand is for a reinforced concrete road.
The truth is that a combination of increasing urbanisation, increasing vehicular traffic stresses and adverse climactic conditions occasioned by rising rainfall and rising water tables throughout southern Nigeria makes for the gradual demise of traditional asphaltic paved roads.

They no longer work well for any reasonable service lifespan. Ebonyi state, Rivers state and i think Akwa Ibom state have to varying degrees turned to concrete for lasting solutions.

So, if there was no outcry by the people about the deplorable condition of this road, this stupid governor of Ogun State would not even think of fixing it? What sort of retards inhabit this geographical enclave called Nigeria?

OGUN STATE governor is a massive failure, the worst governor in Nigeria
Abiodun better change your attitude to governance and copy from Lagos state
Re: Work Begins On Ota–Idiroko Roads, Ogun State (Photos) by middlebelter(m): 5:17pm On Sep 30, 2021
People should stop blaming Dapo Abiodun for making attempt to fix the mess left behind by Amosun. Amosun spent eight (cool solid years and did nothing about the route that is generating much revenue for Ogun state. Aten- Agbara road is the same, instead of fixing the bad road, he embarked on the construction of a bridge he had no intention to complete, thereby making the environment more degraded than he met it. Now that Abiodun is trying to fix the road, please let's give him the needed moral support.

Lol... This has always been the case on this road. We did a road tour of this road in August and its shameful... From Sango Gate to Oju Ere to Ota, Iyana all through Winners Chapel axis... Its an eyesore. Ota road has even turned death trap especially with those trailers..

The stones are the palliative measures used to level some parts of the road and these have been ongoing for quite some times so there's nothing cheering about the road until the real construction starts.

Ogun has never been lucky with leaders. The construction of the road at Denro through Ishashi to Akute has been crawling. There are only two tractors doing the entire road. It is just meant to make people keep quiet. The construction will be less than 50% completed by 2023.
