Gaming graphics have come a long way. The processing power of first-generation home consoles and computers only allowed for simple graphics. Old games bolstered the popularity of gaming worldwide, and game developers sought new ways to cash in.
As technology advances, games transformed to include better graphics and features that are more complex in the decades that led to the modern era of 3D graphics.

The idea that gamers are strictly young males is old. According to statistics, 18% of men and 10% of women ages 15-33 in the U.S. play video games. Among those 50 and older, 12% of both men and women play, with the rise of cloud gaming and similar trends, the video game market continues to become more diverse and yet continue to evolve.

AI may also deliver benefits in the game development process. Developers are experimenting with using AI to create games that evolve automatically based on player feedback. For example, an AI algorithm can respond to a player’s choices to quickly, and automatically develop new challenges, characters, worlds, and elements in a game, creating levels and challenges for players to explore.

While VR is relatively new - the PlayStation’s, HTC Vive, PSVR Oculus Rift and more have all launched their new gaming systems resurrecting a classic video game experience of going to the arcade. VR arcades give players room to play without harming themselves and turn gaming into a social affair. While VR arcade locations had been popping up across Nigeria, the pandemic lockdowns have affected its expansion.


Mobile has becomes more vital as mobile responsiveness has been a buzzword for a while now. Each year, more people access the Internet via mobile devices. In addition, studies have shown that smartphone ownership has jumped.
As a graphic designer designing for gaming has become more attractive, I access my work on the run more than ever before, whether I am using my phone to respond to a client's question or jumping on team boards to see what we have completed so far on a particular project.
Artificial intelligence for both design and gaming has shaped the future of design as technology advances. The world of design is ever changing. Even in the period of time I have been a graphic designer in the gaming industry, the market has become more mobile focused.
Audience demand for animated content is insatiable. Animated movies and games is consistently a top performer at the box office, and the franchises that originate in animation are often worth billions of dollars to studios. Next time you see a trick-or-treater dressed as Elsa or a Minion, remember, those characters came from animation. What’s more, the intense competition among streamers has dramatically increased the demand for animated series, and production is struggling to keep up.

There is a lot more than just animation that goes into it. You might have to model that character, texture it and then animate it. There is even a lot more behind the scenes for that, but understand what it is you are asking for. If you want a fully animated CG scene, that is going to be a lot of work and it is going to take a lot of time. Indeed, the future of next level creativity in 3D gaming and animation is immerse.
