As Nigeria marks her 61st Independence Anniversary, a legal practitioner, Barrister Ogala Osoka Jnr, has called on leaders in the country to rise up to the occasion and revive the dreams and aspirations of the people.

Barr. Osoka Jnr. who spoke to newsbuka.com from his base in Abuja on Friday, said this has become necessary, giving the religious, ethnic and tribalistic lines that the country has been patterned for sometime now, noting that these divisions have further caused hatred among the different ethnic groups in the country.

He emphasised the need for Nigerian leaders at all levels to take stock of the various encumbrances in the country while galvanizing the citizenry towards the path of greatness, urging them to re-ignite the flames of unity, justice, equity and above all, build a virile nation that all will be proud of.

The Legal Practitioner called on leaders in the country not to turn a blind eye to issues of insecurity and criminality ravaging the North-East , North-West down to South-East including the abject poverty taking toll on the people.

He urged leaders to nip the various problems in the bud, so as to register the country's name among league of nations who are revered globally while expressing optimism that things would get better in no distant time.

Barrister Osoka Jnr. concluded by saying "Happy Independence Anniversary to all Nigerians, Happy Independence Anniversary to Ndi Abia".
