The Christian Association of Nigeria, Kaduna State has said that President Buhari’s speechwriters are truly the enemies of Nigeria, saying that they are only after what they want and get.

A statement issued by the Kaduna CAN Chairman, Rev. John Joseph Hayab said the pains and sufferings of Nigerian masses are secondary to them.

He emphasised that most Nigerians were aware that killer herdsmen were responsible for low farming and poor harvest in the country, lamenting that President Buhari and his speechwriters have chosen to turn a blind eye to that, instead they are accusing faceless middlemen of hoarding foodstuff and other items.

“Every year our leaders will find a word that they will use to hide their failure in the fight against banditry and insecurity generally. We have moved from technical defeat to taking the fight against insecurity to the enemy and winning,” he said.

“How are you winning when we are burying more deaths now than before? Never a day passes without 10 or more Nigerians been killed, will a responsible Government called such winning?”

The state CAN chairman said if the government knows Igboho and Kanu sponsors, then they should go ahead and name them. “Nigerians also want to know the sponsors of bandits, kidnappers and Boko Haram,” he added.
