How many of the maize you planted fruited cocoa? I bet its just one or two.

If the entire maize you planted fruited cocoa, then thank your lucky star because cocoa is more valuable than maize. But if just one or two, which is more likely, then you need to go find who is seeding your maize with cocoa and ask why.

Lol...when such happens, don't jubilate and start making use of such; it might be as a result of mutation or dangerous disease, rather involve plant expert (a pathologist) to carry research on what caused it.

It's fungus.... Treat it ASAP before it spreads to the other plants

Like I quoted him, just involve a specialist or better still, copy some moderators that can help you push this to front page where you may probably see the help you seek. Thanks.

I do not think I need an expert to tell me someone put cocoa on my maize! I can do my own research.

It so happens to be a universal law, that one reaps what one sows, but this op wants us to believe otherwise, lol.

Op, that your cocoa is fresh out of the pod. You can tell by the fact it hasn't begun to dry up!

Stop posting fake information to deceive the gullible! If cocoa had been growing on your maize you'd have shown it growing over time, instead of this one photo!

Are you asking a maize and cocoa farmer like me to take this thread seriously?

Maybe when I post me planting stones and reaping gold you'd get it.
Re: Help, My Maize Have Fruited Cocoa Beans by CUMIN: 5:06pm On Oct 02
That's a fungus called xylaria polymorphs.

it not a big issue op. Once bird comes to eat still developing corn in the process left cob open, and when rain touch the immature (corn) part, that when this happen.
