I Feel Bad That I Couldn't Tell This Businessman He's About To Be Scammed by Driggs: 9:56am On Oct 04, 2021
I was just chilling at Radisson yesterday, sipping my juice and watching 2 fine, endowed ladies wearing bikinis and taking 1000 pictures without actually swimming at all (married women moved their husbands away from the pleasurable sights).

The chair I was seated is a 3 seater with a round table and 3 extra chairs in front of it.

I was alone as I branched from church to watch Liverpool vs Manchester city in style.

Then, a man in his 50s sat beside me and we all minded our business. Not quite long, 3 men showed up and I overheard them saying they flew in from Abuja to meet a client who introduced himself as the managing director (as well as a professor) of a company handling Akwa Ibom sea port project.. can't remember the name again.

The client, a self acclaimed professor in his 60s wearing an old coat and those shoes from 1920 came in much later and started acting like he was doing the other men a favour by bring present.

Since they met me on seat, there was no way they'd ask me to excuse them.

Fast forward, they started talking about a deep port project in cross river and the man, who first came in (he owns a dredging company) will be contracted to supply over 1 million tonnes of sand.

This client then said they have secured $350B funding from investors and it's been paid. But CBN flagged the money and they have to submit documentation at CBN to prove it's legit bla bla.

He even showed the man proof of funds on his phone and he said he's flying to Abuja this monday morning to submit the documents and rectify the issue with CBN.

Now, this client said he needs money to finance the quick disbursement of that huge sum from CBN so they can start the project and do some other things. This was negotiated to 50 million.

Deep inside me, I was cringing. Who still falls for this old age scams if not for old aged people? There was no way I could tell this man he was being scammed (I'd be embarrassed and escorted out by security and wetin even concern me?)

50 million is a lot and someone who has the capacity to give you a contract running into billions will never ask you for payment before executing contract. What they get is royalty and that's after the project is completed.

Please if this is your daddy, wearing white Kaftan and was at Radisson, Ikeja yesterday, please caution him ooo because he's supposed to make that payment today..
