The newly sworn in governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi avoided the governor's office in the state secretariat vacated by his predecessor Alao Akala. The new governor shifted the handing over ceremony from the executive council chambers of the governor's office to a make-shift canopy erected at the parking lot.

He also shifted the luncheon fixed for the banquet hall of the govt. house to Ibadan civic centre.

It is nothing spectacular. Lam adeshina did the same thing, infact he didnt go to the government house until after 2 months. Ladoja did exactly the same and in the case of Akala, he even ordered a renovation of the office before settling down after the election in 2007. I can say that it is simply a lesson Ajimobi learnt from his predecessors.
