Herdsmen Have Left South-East, But Igbos Still Killing One Another, Burning Their Cities—Herders' Union, Miyetti Allah
Spokesman for the group, Saleh Alhassan said it only shows that Fulani herders were never the problem.

BY SAHARAREPORTERS, NEW YORKOCT 05, 2021

Fulani herdsmen under the aegis of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore have mocked the South-East region, saying their exit and the implementation of the anti-open grazing law in the area have not stopped the violence going on there.

Spokesman for the group, Saleh Alhassan said it only shows that Fulani herders were never the problem.

Miyetti Allah group
He noted that there was no more open grazing in most parts of the South-East.

According to him, what goes on in the region is largely cattle trading and the cows being sold mostly belong to Igbo traders, Punch reports.

Alhassan said, “That nonsense you see in the South-East is a manifestation of frustration… They will continue burning their cities, killing themselves.

“Now that the herders are not there, they are still killing themselves. Sometimes they wear Fulani attire to continue to commit heinous crimes.

“Now that the herders are not there, are they having peace in the East?”

Alhassan added that the constant sit-at-home orders given by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), which are being violently enforced, have led to the loss of cattle, hence the exit of Miyetti Allah or herders.

“Those Biafrans are shooting and killing their animals. Those making noise in the media are cattle traders. They will not go anywhere. The cows you see there now belong to the Igbo,” he stated.

The Miyetti Allah spokesman said the group would not obey the anti-open grazing law being passed in most parts of the South because open grazing is their way of life

He said the group would sue all the states enforcing the law, adding that Miyetti Allah would also take political and spiritual steps.

Alhassan also denied reports that Dr. Chike Akunyili, the widower of the late Dora Akunyili, a former information minister, was murdered by herdsmen.

The late Akunyili was killed last week.

He argued that the blanket ban on open grazing in the South was connected to the 2023 elections and was a ploy by southern governors to force their northern counterparts to negotiate for the Presidency amid the raging debate on zoning.

Alhassan, however, vowed that the group would never support the presidential ambition of any governor that is enforcing the ban on open grazing.

Careless comments like this made with euphoria, reveal that the Fulanu Herdsmen are STILL responsible for the murders in the SE.

Especially the assassination of Chike Akunyili. The Nigerian government cannot deceive everyone. People like US have known of their social conditioning antics 10 years before Pius Adesina revealed it.

I really appreciate the effort put in to obfuscation and evasion. But its obvious to the discerning.

It mavels me how someone will be in his far away region and be giving detailed analysis of what is happening in another man's region.
For Pete's sake let's allow the south east to cry their cry.
As far as am consign the insecurity in the south east is peculiar to every region in Nigeria,. some region are suffering worst than the south east.
I don't understand the obsession with south east all the time as if others are better.

Instead of you making noise stop the Nigerian military form sentence soldiers to the Southern part of Nigeria. The soldiers are going to donate weapons to the enemy

How does Miyetti Allah know this considering the Nigerian army is filled with so-called "repentant" boko haramists? Are those army officers not sent to the South East? Miyetti Allah think we are stupid.

What exactly is their pain?
Anyway, it's already a lost battle over d whole South as it's obvious dt d central govt is for d 'cows', so every state has risen to save its people through whichever means.

They should go to court as threatened, as if it's ghosts dt can't be confronted dt are there.

Most of the cows presently roaming about in the South east belong to businessmen of south east origin, they only hire fulani herdsmen to take care of them pending when the cows would be slaughtered.

Miyetti Allah, this is a clear sign that you guys may know about the killing happening in South East. I perceive the voice of Jacob hand of Esau. My problem with IPOB is that, they talk too much lack political system to execute there orders and group like this or FG can execute there orders in a negative form/
