Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State has pointed out that the Southeast elites would be the greatest losers if Biafra is achieved.

He said the Southeast elites have invested in every part of Nigeria especially the north; hence they cannot afford to lose their investments due to Biafra agitation.

Speaking on Channels Television, Umahi said the Southeast elites are against Biafra but rather prefer to be treated equally as Nigerians.

Umahi said: “Meanwhile, every elite in South-East is not desirous of Biafra, we don’t want Biafra; we want to be treated equally like other regions in Nigeria.

“So, this idea of Biafra is madness and we have said, ‘No’, we don’t want Biafra.

“If we go our separate ways, South-East people will lose a lot because we the elites ha’ve invested a lot in every part of this nation. It is not to our advantage to leave our investment and walk away.”

He accused the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, of sending out messages of fear and killing across the Southeast.

Yet you people have investments in Europe and Dubai which which are not lost.

Sometimes I wonder if this umahi man thinks with his brain or his potbelly, "we don't want Biafra, we only want to be treated equally" did he ask himself the reason for the Nigeria civil war? Why is Yoruba's fighting for oduduwa Republic? Can any tribe on earth coexist with housa-fulanis peacefully? People that will gladly slaughter their fellow citizens for asking them not to rear their cows on their farmlands, people that hates any other tribe, go to the north today and see how their roads is as smooth as tiled floor, are there such roads in the entire southern Nigeria? Nobody is praying for violence but when you are pushed to wall and held on the troat at the same time then you will have no other option than to fight for your life, as for loosing your investments in sw and North, I don't think so because other countries equally have investments in Nigeria and nothing has happened to them. All the same #LET THEIR BE PEACE IN THE SOUTHEAST
