5 Tips For Dealing With High School Stress by alexsamuel02: 1:55pm On Oct 07, 2021
Passing the baccalaureate represents a decisive stage in the life of any student, which makes it a source of great stress for many graduates.

If you are one of those people who tend to stress too much, this article will give you 5 tips to help you manage the stress of high school better.

Balance your time well

Faced with the stress of high school, some people tend to want reassurance by working hard throughout the school year and begin to perceive any fun time as a real waste of time.

However, in order to be able to hold the whole school year in a dynamic rhythm of preparation, it is also necessary to devote a few moments to have fun and relax, without feeling guilty.

Tell yourself that it's normal to take a break, and that this little moment of pleasure will then serve you to resume your preparation by being much more motivated, and therefore more productive.

Take care of your body

Fatigue, lack of sleep or poor diet can be real stressors. The more we abandon our body and our lifestyle, the more we become emotionally susceptible, aggressive and therefore, we stress more.

In order to better manage the stress of the baccalaureate, it is therefore important for the student not to neglect himself and to take care of his body by monitoring his diet, his sleep and especially to favor physical activity by playing sports when the occasion allows.

Do not isolate yourself

When faced with stress, some people tend to want to isolate themselves completely from those around them so as not to be distracted or busy. Wishing to be reassured that they will not run out of time to revise and prepare well for the test, these people may however have the opposite effect!

Indeed, by isolating oneself we are much more likely to develop negative thoughts and even to suffer from anxiety. However, being surrounded by close people can favorably help calm down and put things into perspective in times of stress. Those around you can play a favorable role in advising and reassuring you. But you will still have to be careful to surround yourself only with positive people and not people likely to stress you.

Put yourself in a real situation during the exam

Often, and despite a lot of preparation, some people have a tendency to stress and the feeling of not being ready for the exam yet increases. An excellent way to reassure yourself and better manage your stress is to practice in the tests of previous years by really putting yourself in an exam situation in order to concretely assess your level. This method is very effective against stress because it allows you to put yourself in a real situation and evaluate yourself! If you pass these test exams well, within the same duration of the test in question, there is no reason not to pass the actual test on D-Day.

Here are 5 tips that can help you manage the stress of the bac, whether it is before or on the day of the test. Once you have studied well, the success of the bac is no longer a question of psychological preparation and stress management in order to be able to pass this test in the best possible conditions.
