It's increasingly becoming difficult to publish books these days because prices of printing paper, lithographic plates, etc. have almost doubled from what they were this time last year. This is affecting all academic inputs. There was a time it was said that educational materials were import duty-free, but no one knows the status of educational imports these days. Very soon, this important sector may collapse if government refused the needed intervention.

the cost of printing paper and cards alone is driving many publishers into bankruptcy. I wonder why we don't have a functional paper mill in this country. it is even cheaper now to print abroad then ship the books in to Nigeria.
