The number 419 actually refers to the Criminal Code dealing with fraudulent activities and the penalties in Nigeria.

Hence the term 419 in the Nigerian parlance.

It's Ironic that it's a Criminal code that was established by a criminal and fraudster General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB) when he was military president (1985-1993).

I think someone mentioned it having something to do with God's great promise in Phil. 4: 19 – But my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ our Lord.
