I agree with the writer... But still let's look at how politics played in 2019... Prior to 2019 election,. Ipob instisted that there will be no election in their region, after much consideration, with that fact that obi was a running mate to atiku there was election... People turned out and voted for atiku because of obi... Now this is democracy I will not say because ngige is an Igbo man and so he should not vote for his own party apc or canvas for vote for buhari. The big problem the eastern region is facing today is as a result of their politicians not working as one.... Selfish interest is what is killing them. Acn led by tinubu started it race from Lagos and then captured southwest... Apga was led by late odumegwu ojukwu,. It captured anambra what stops him from capturing the whole east, then south south been controlled by pdp, north been splitted by various political party. Then let's say prior to 2019 election acn allying with other parties to form apc, apga allying with another party in the north .... North will be divided now left for south south to either join force with east or west.. you will see that the polii will be interesting. The igbos would also have a say and contribution to the affairs of the nation. If ojukwu could form a party after the war... I will recommend kanu to from a string based political party in the East.... They too will now be a deciding factor for an election result.... And by this they will get a better compensation

South East exports hate. Jonathan lost in 2015. Even ijaws did not launch hate campaign against yorubas and North. Igbos did. In 2023, yoruba are best advantaged to win. Igbos are resorting to hate and blackmail again. They'll vote against yoruba interests again in 2023. After Osinbajo finish 8 years in 2031, North will take over. And if igbos like they should betray us, in 2039, we will support calabar man. Igbo no go see shishi

So when the north swore that they must get presidency by force in 2015 there were "playing politics "
I'm not even going to start mentioning the sabotage played by Northern troops and civilians in the run up to 2015
Now that it is glaring to everyone that igbos should rule everybody is shifting goalposts
Well i only have one thing to say
All of u plus the writer of this paid article are....mad!

This is too truthful for the Igboman to grasp. What they love , cherish and understand is self-delusion. And that is why they have not, and cannot, get anywhere. They alienate everybody and every region and now they have neither the wisdom no the means, except meaningless noise that makes them more of a nuisance than anything else , to achieve anything on their own.

Ikioye,

If you are foolish enough to not understand that the unknown gunmen in the east are actually Boko Haram/ISWAP/Fulani herdsmen combo, you deserve pity.

There is no Igbo that could be killing Igbo policemen, Igbo soldiers and innocent Igbo civilians in the name of agitation for Biafra.

Team up with the east and stop the Jihadists. They adopted unconstitutional Islamic Sharia criminal laws; they want the whole of Nigeria under the Islamic Sharia criminal justice system. Develop more sense.

Use your sense for once.

It's quite unfortunate that the southeast will have to support a yoruba candidate for the 3rd time in a row.
Last time they did support a southerner it was the South south.

The igbo are very quite consistent politically, never to be swayed. They vote along predictable lines.

And that is how democracy is run worldwide; site Democrats and republicans..

Nigeria politicians who open their mouth to say Igbos always put their eggs in one basket, are indeed politically cheap and behaviourally sheepish to allude to the fact that politics, like religion, are intertwined and cannot be prostitutionalized.

Do they want an FFK syndrome for the SE just because they crave political inclusion? What a rabid assumption.

Ibo politicians are not smart and lack strategic thinkers.

They should not have supported GEj in 2011 and stick to the plan of PDP that controlled their region with benefit of hindsight. They naively argued that GEJ from the south will hand over to a SE candidate after 8 years. And they calculated that incumbents don't loose elections hence they abused and betrayed their northern partners with whom they had a north to south power rotation every 8 years in their PDP. Like in first republic they could not keep to a gentleman agreement.

If Ibo were ACN's Bola Tinubu in 2011, they would have swallowed the bait of immediate returns by clannishly supporting Mulika of PDP for speaker in 2011 and miss out on getting Speaker and VP position at the same time 4 years after, and be in the leading position to emerge as president in another 4 years.

Well if you read widely, you are suppose to know that once a man assumes the position of president of any country, including communist China and democratic America, he automatically becomes the leader of that party.

In this case you should be blaming GEJ for trying to run, not your cynical tantrums of the igbo supporting him..

And yes, won't be easy for an igbo to vote for the Hausa fulani when they have a brother in the fray..

Are you this daft?

Your kin live in Nigeria which harbors the largest number of poor and hungry people in the world, yet cheap cash from crude oil would not allow you reason well. You act like a passenger in a sinking ship carrying high value goods, you clutch tight to the sinking ship and use all tactics in the books to block escape for other passengers in the ship.

This your analysis is belated as far as 2023 election is concerned. The ipob pigs has caused so much damage to the image of the igbos in the eyes of others. I can authoritatively tell you that any political party that gives its ticket to a person of south eastern extraction have less than zero chance to win the presidential election of the 2023 given the very rumours in the entire north now and even amongst large section of the south west. Do you still doubt the reason the PDP which the south east has served all diligence and optimum loyalty is drag-feeting in even contemplating an igbo candidacy under its platform?
The relationship of the igbos with other Nigerians is at very low ebbs even than it was in the build up to the infamous civil war era. The reasons this have well been captured in the op analysis of what chance or opportunities they have lost. If an average igbo man who is supporting that hunchback albino porn star has sense, if marginalization is the reason for hatred of an average igbo man towards other Nigerians, then an average igbo man would have known that the current strategies they have employed would yet no results. Politics is not only game of numbers but also dialogue and mutual understanding and respect. Even to get secession they need to apply these common characteristic, as there is no where that ever got what it wanted through violence means.
Alas you tell them, they would claim Buhari got power through Boko Haram terrorist; that was the same Buhari who nearly got eliminated by the violent terrorists and which he is battling teeth and toes to eliminate in our space now.
Like somebody has suggested here, igbos should wait till 2039 while rebuilding there stem relation with other Nigerians who expectedly will vote them into power.

I 100% agree with you... Am an Igbo. But don't agree with our system of politics... I feel part of our problem has been believing so much on pdp. Even when we are not getting it right. I still blame our politicians... Cause if tinubu had not stood out to unite his region maybe dey too would have been feeling the best too. If a shoe is not sizing you, you dump it ordash it out. If all south east governors can unite and say no to pdp and lias with apc and prove to the nation that they are ready to rule u feel this issue of marginalisation will not come to play. Image the Governors are scattered,, fighting for their interest alone.... And when they don't get what they want, dey push the masses into fighting with each other.
