Ebunola Martins has come under severe attack because he urged Tinubu to forfeit his presidential ambition and support South East to Aso Rock.
Others opined that South East has no moral right to lay claim in APC because they didn't contribute anything during formation.
How wrong can one be.
So I came with questions:
Imo state governor as the time was Rochas Okorocha. Was he from South South and now South East?
Chris Ngige I guess was from Ogun then and now from Anambra?
Ogbonnaya Onuh, who had been with ANPP since inception was from Jigawa then and from Ebonyi now.
These and more are foundation members. Not by mouth but also in deed.

Let's go to logic now:

South South states 6, two joined APC and later lost Rivers to PDP in 2015. So only Edo state perfectly moved to APC.
South West states 6; 4 joined and two were in PDP
South East states 5 one joined and 3 PDP, 1 APGA.
So in the beginning, no region was 100% even in the north.
The only thing was the characters and maybe states involved. For instance, if Peter Obi had taken Anambra to APC, the whole Nigeria will say, YES, Igbos were there. But in Igbo land, Imo state is not lower in ranking. Same also goes for Ebonyi state. The whole states are equal. Imo is even bigger than Anambra in LGA. They're even an oil producing state. So they should count more.
Why are the South West APC not seeing the effort of Imo state and Rochas then? They even even gave over 100k votes to Buhari in 2015.
How much votes did Ekiti give Buhari then? But because Tinubu led SW to APC, then the whole SW worked for Buhari? That's a fat lie. How many votes did SW even give to Buhari?
Did APC win any state in SS during 2015 and 2019? So why will a SS member lay claim in APC but SE will not?

MIND YOU:
I'm not apologetic about the choice of majority of SE in 2015 and 2019 but... appreciate the effort of the few because they're the reason why the party is even making inroads in that region now. They suffered and stayed put despite the odds.
If no region came to APC table with 100%, how can you now single out the SE to loathe? That's unfair.
This singular sidetracking is sole reason why the north will retain power in 2023.
A good political strategist can see that the north are leaving APC systematically. They're moving secretly to PDP but the ever loud South are fighting for the carcass of APC.
Osibanjo v Tinubu is raging already.
This is shame.
So let all the South come together and endorse SE. That way, the north won't have option. And the South will be formidable.

Let Okorocha, Onu, Ngige pick form in APC to compete against Tinubu, Osinbajo or Fashola if they pick the form.

All these analysis will end immediately.

After all Okorocha competed against Buhari in 2015 and heaven did not fall. Is Okorocha more scared of Tinubu than Buhari?

the real issue is that if APC makes the mistake, PDP will defeat them. SE is a strong hold of the PDP, those crossing over to APC in the SE got their mandate from other parties. It will be naive for APC to gamble away their chance in a territory where they are weak. This is not 1999 where rigging is the order of the day. SE is PDP while SW is APC, it's like asking PDP to come and pick Candidate in the SW. That's why even ordinary party chairman, PDP didn't make the mistake of choosing from the SW, this is because it is not worth it. It's not worth it for APC to give their ticket to a candidate from their weakest region and expect to win, in fact, SW will either boycott the election of vote against APC!

The political reality of APC is a SW candidate while for PDP, it's actually North. SE could have done well with APGA and using it to merge with PDP or APC or go solo.
For APC, SE will need to join the queue while they build up strong presence in the SE. Even till date, imolites still call their Governor the "Supreme Court" Governor because they claim that they didn't vote for him and his party.
