Cross River: Governor Ayade Orders Appointees Back To Work by Ayade001(m): 1:49am On Oct 14, 2021 |
Following the total strike action being embarked upon by the organized labour in the state which entered its second day today, the State Governor Sen Prof Ben Ayade has ordered commissioners, Special Advisers, and all political appointees to resume work immediately as they were not part of labour. This directive was contained in a press release signed by the Secretary to the State Government Barr Tina Banku Agbor in Calabar today. The release similarly directed all civil servants serving in the Governor's office to report for duties in line with an established protocol that demands their presence at their duty post even at moments like this. It warns that severe disciplinary actions will be taken against appointees and workers who failed to adhere to the directives.
