Hi friends.
I recently bought a laptop. Although currently, I teach in a primary school, with the current economic situation of the country, it is advisable to have a side hustle. I have decided to learn to code and I was advised to start with HTML, I have downloaded W3schools offline. But my major challenge is the lack of power supply in my area, we barely have light, sometimes PHCN might restore power for 3-4hours a day. This is discouraging as I bank on them to keep learning. For those who experienced this and overcame it, how did you do it?

I can't really say the mAh but that's the only solution you got. By the way, how far have you gone with the html? Just curious.

I usually go to charge at a bet9ja shop then. It's risky but something must kill a man.

Bet shops alway have power. Charge and use the battery to learn for 2-3 hours then go back and recharge before they close and use that in the night.
You can run many circles in the weekends

That is a very good question I can say that is one of the problem we digital skilled people are facing in Nigeria most especially lack of electricity and expensive data. Although, I live in Osun State and light here is 80% steady only data is sometimes giving me headache.

Use more of PDF books to learn programming.....download any book from pdfdrive.com

Then write a lot of practice exercise on paper like u are solving maths...

When u have power, use ur laptop or phone to run the different code u have on paper....

If u can't read books, cos book don't consume power on ur phone, it will be hard.

I wanted to create a thread for people like you but since you have asked I will give you one of my success story when start my website design journey.

First I use to spend 1000 to 1500 every day to power my laptop. At the end of the month I spend all my profit and gains to buy fuel, repair generator and other stuff. Going to bet9ja shop is risky and to open to learn web design.

The only area you should look in this current country power situation is solar. Am not here to promote any product but I googled some solar gadget to help relieve my pain that's when I saw Lumos. It's a solar company partnering with MTN, and there is this other one BeeBee Jump.

I pay 8000 monthly and I use it with my laptop from 7am when sun is out till 5:39 when the sun is down, and I use the charged power for more than 8 to 10 hours till it when off.

BeeBee Jump is 10k per month. If you can afford it just go to any MTN store and ask for Lumos prime.

I am a full stack web developer.
