A top US school football trainer has been terminated for declining to be immunized against Covid-19.
Washington State University (WSU) terminated Nick Rolovich, its most generously compensated worker, and four of his associates, for neglecting to meet an immunization command.
The order implies all state laborers in Washington must be completely inoculated against Covid-19 or lose their positions.
Mr Rolovich, 42, who acquired $3.1m (£2.25m) a year, had applied for a strict exception from the command.
Yet, WSU's Director of Athletics, Pat Chun, said the exception had been denied.
