October 20 2020 is a significant day in Nigeria's history. It was the day God united a group of young men to challenge the gross indiscipline of the men in black khaki across the country. It was like the 'Manga Carta' revolt in England. From Ughelli to Lagos, Lagos to Benin, Benin to Anambra etc. It was a awful experience. It was like a war.

The men in black khaki were the Goliath, while the youths were the David. In the holy book, Goliath had edge and body physic to easily conquer little David when he was eventually humbled by him. Goliath boasted he could end David reign in a twinkling of an eye. He was so confident until his strength failed him in the long run.

This was exactly what happened to the men in black khaki who had all the wherewithal but eventually ran hidden when the revolution started. The agitation was so much that the men in black khaki went on self strike for chosing to unlawfully steal from indigent Nigerians. Today marked one year hundreds of youths in black T-shirts and trousers openly declared "END SARS".

The SARS who were the highway rubbers suddenly became the defeated Goliath. Their villages became their homes. David soon made history. We saw David physically in our youths. We saw how they confidently revolted against a sect of corrupt minded people who saw themselves as GOLIATH. The defunct SARS are still out again in another form. They are still in our highways. They still brutalize, intimidate and oppress these youths. They still search their phones and even beat those who stand their ground. Boldly the David that defeated them in October has not died. He lives in the youths.

October birthed a remarkable revolution and paved way for integrity. October is when the men in black khaki needed to have a rethink on the many abuse of power they have committed, the illegal money they have stolen from youths especially the ones they styled "YAHOO BOYS". This is a period that we should think twice. But are they even thinking at all?

Nigeria leaders must have a rethink especially today. They must not forget that today marks the day they chose to free hundreds of criminals to the streets with a view to terminating the peaceful protest. They must be told that we know. Yes they did it. The men in big jeeps and protected hilux had to immediately truncate the peaceful agitation as soon as the rain of revolution began to drop on their protected roofs. It was a thorn in their flesh anyway.

October was when our government killed our youths. This was the time they sent the elder brothers of men in black khaki to LEKKI TOLL GATE to massacre our youths. This was the period they began to intimidate, oppress and deny us peace. Surely they also had no peace. Fear. Fear. In the end, David was victorious.
