News just coming in are that following the first anniversary of the #EndSARS protest against brutality by security agents recorded pockets of incidents in many parts of the country on Wednesday as protesters and security operatives clashed.

Most of the crowds were disbanded and there were arrests and brutalisation of protesters and journalists covering the events.

For instance, there was pressure at the Lekki tollgate in Lagos State as policemen fired teargas canisters to disperse protesters.

Some of the protesters and journalists covering the protest were brutalised and arrested by security agents.
