|7 Ways To Reduce Stress At The Office by drmitalisoni(f): 1:01pm On Oct 21, 2021|
We all want to reduce stress at the office, but it's hard to find a solution that works for everyone. Luckily, as a psychiatrist in Bhopal, we've come up with seven amazing and simple ways for you and your employees (or yourself) to de-stress during your work week.
1. Walk Around
Perhaps one of the simplest things you can do to reduce stress at the office is to simply get up and move around. It makes sense, after all: if you're feeling antsy, being able to walk back and forth in front of your desk will allowed you to burn your excess energy so you can focus on your work.
2. Get Plenty of Sleep
Make a conscious effort to go to bed at the same time every night, and try to get eight hours of sleep. Remember that staying up late because you don't have enough energy for your next day's work only makes it worse. Be sure to exercise regularly so you can feel more prepared when it comes to sleeping, too.
3. Stand Up Straight
Remember that how you carry yourself has a direct impact on how others perceive you. Therefore, if you want to feel more in control of your surroundings, stand up straight with your shoulders back. This will make you appear ready for anything!
4. Breathe Deeply
Take five minutes in the middle of your day to close your eyes and breathe deeply. This will allow you to relax while refilling all of the oxygen reservoirs in your body that are responsible for processing stress. The result? You'll be able to manage any upcoming deadlines without feeling overwhelmed.
5. Practice Yoga or Meditation
There are many ways to meditate, but yoga is among the most popular since it's almost universally accessible—and who doesn't have five free minutes every workday to take a break? This is something that we, as a psychiatrist in Bhopal, often suggest to our patients.
6. Take a Walk
If you don't mind leaving your office chair, taking a walk is one of the most effective ways to de-stress while at work. Not only will this allow you to get some fresh air and move around, but it also gives you time for quiet contemplation while away from your desk.
7. Check Your Stress Level
There are hundreds of stress level checkers online (and probably one on your smartphone by now), and these apps can be powerful tools in helping you measure how stressed out you are at any given moment. Use them regularly so that when things start getting tough, you have a reference point for where "peak stress" occurs.
