TOTTENHAM have joined the bidding war for Genk star Paul Onuachu in their search for a potential Harry Kane back-up.

That is according to the Daily Mail, who report that Spurs will have to overcome the likes of Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Southampton and West Ham.

The same report suggests that the North Londoners' rivals Arsenal have already made enquiries for Onuachu.

The Premier League giants will also have to reach an agreement with the Belgian side, who rate the 6ft 7in striker at around £20million.

Atletico are said to be among the frontrunners for the centre-forward's signature but it seems like he prefers a move to the Prem.

Tottenham are on the lookout for a back-up to Kane, who expressed his desire to leave last summer.

The England captain was approached by Manchester City but the Prem champions failed to meet his asking price.

The 28-year-old has a contract until 2024 but his future still appears uncertain amid a shaky campaign that has seen him scoring just once in seven Premier League matches.

Tottenham are reportedly keeping tabs on Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic as well but are facing intense competition from Juventus.

That is why they are also eyeing Onuachu, who has been in stellar form so far this term.

The Nigeria international has already netted 11 goals in 15 appearances across all competitions for Genk.

The 27-year-old joined the Belgian outfit in 2019 following an impressive seven-year stint at Midtjylland.

The Nigerian has since registered a whopping 56 goals and seven assists in 84 matches.

Just that those goals points can't be compared to any of the top 5 leagues in Europe.

I don't think Athleco Madrid will be a good option for him because Onuachu is a sluggish striker like Kanu. Victor Osimeh will do better there because he's a ball hussler. Well, I wish him the best in his career but let him not go where he'll be on the bench oh

This guy would be worth £200m if he was British.

May be you're catching cruise, you never know with NLdrs

The most valuable British player is Harry Kane and he's no where near £200m valuation.

Second most valuable is Rashford, no where near £200m

Third is the overrated Grealish, Sterling, no where near, fourth is Sancho, no where near, fifth is Declan Rice, and may be Ogah Magwaya at United.

So if Onuachu was British, his highest transfer value will be £35m. That's his level. I mean he's not that better than Tammy Abraham whose value is barley £40m or Calvert Lewin whose value at his very best will be £60m.

grin grin grin
Edited: He's modified his post with a smilie emoji grin which suggest he's back to his senses now and catching his cruise. Lmao!!!!

Germany would be the best bet, maybe going to Dortmund if haaland leaves because hr would score a lot of goals there
he should avoid d trap of the EPL guys bcoz dey are too demanding n hardly gv foreigners time n too quick to criticize players..
he should learn from dt tanzanian smantta also came from Genk after numerous goals, bt flopped in aston villa n was shipped bk after just one season n now on loan to fenerbache....wish him well sha
