At the advent of Computer Based Examinations System, questions were only structured as multiple-choiced. Candidates were required to only select from a list of options, shutting instructors away from firsthand assessment.

Computer Based Examinations were supposed to be means of adopting computers in setting, scheduling, writing, and of course marking such assessment (exams and tests). Interestingly, mass grading of assessment seems as though the only ability uniquely identified of such systems.

Changing the narrative, any smart CBT system adopted by an institution should allow for both essay and multiple-choice questions. Most importantly, engaging instructors in grading such assessments.

This implies that, rather than have all essay examinations printed and hand written, candidates get to type their responses and instructors get to grade their scripts using their devices (phone or computer).

This initiates a change in narrative as instructors can thence set questions from wherever they are and also mark their scripts without stress.

If any system offers this unimaginable initiative, EXAMINA is it's name!
