The Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) on Saturday resumed services on the Abuja-Kaduna route two days after it suspended operations following an explosion that rocked a section of the rail track on Wednesday night.

The corporation announced suspension of all operations along the route on Thursday after a train almost suffered a derailment at the Rijanna area of Kaduna due to an explosion on the rail line.

But normal operations resumed at the Rigasa train station in Kaduna on Saturday after the repair of the damaged portion of the track.

However, Channels Television observed that there was a low turnout of passengers on the route despite the heavy deployment of more security forces on the train.

Passengers called for more security officials to be deployed along the route to reassure commuters.

Rail travel is perhaps the safest and cheapest option for navigating between Abuja and Kaduna due to the rising insecurity on the highways.

But Wednesday explosion may have created more fears in the minds of rail travellers as commercial motor parks plying the route have been witnessing a high volume of patronage.

I am imagining sth rn.

I go carry my money go board train. Nigeria Government go tell me say dem don put security inside train. Inside the train, I will feel like pressing my laptop only to be handcuffed as a yahoo boy or beaten blue and black by a soldier for not responding to him when he said “kai, you bastard come here.” Let's assume those didn't happen, while en route, I will be praying to survive bomb blasts, theft, or banditry.

In Nigeria, you are minutes away from getting killed everyday. When you want to cross the main roads, you have to look right for incoming vehicles, left for incoming vehicles, right for vehicles on one way, left for vehicles on one way, down for portholes, up for crashing planes or electric wires littered in the country, sideways for bandits or stray bullets. You still have to observe the air carefully not to pass when an Airforce Jet is passing...dem fit shoot you for trying to see whose daughter is on board.

Or shey na governor entourage you wan look through tinted glass? Dem go blow your skull. How dare you see whose wife or daughter is inside!

Anything can kill you. You can get killed eating suya, returning from marriage....anything. You can get killed trying to prevent yourself from getting killed!

You are now down the overused train with rusty charcoal engines, now you wan cross road to the other side, you still have to check your okrika well before the policeman wanting to eat fast suya with your money tags you a fraudster or a soldier punishes you because you resemble sb who needs beating.

After you have crossed the road that is if one keke driver won't insult you, you still have to watch down while you walk so that you wouldn't fall into the gutters or injure your legs with those n-shaped nonsense on the gutter coverings.

All these journeys are so that you wouldn't miss lectures.

When you arrive a second late, the lecturer who arrived too early will usher you out. If you are a female, “meet me in my office.”

As a guy, you will be begging him and he will be headstrong... “see, Izzou, if you like yourself, do what your mates are doing or remain here forever arguing. When you are ready, put it in envelope and bring it. I don't give out my account number.” You will goan carry block to make up money to give a lecturer who will give you D...and still say you really didn't even deserve a D.

As a girl... “Dear Mangoliaa, you know you are a beautiful girl, you will be doing like small pikin. Come let me take care of you. I will make sure you pass. Scratch my back, I scratch yours.”

If pressure no kill you for school, or your papa didn't send the ₦3k quickly, one stupid boy/girlfriend will break up with you.

Welcome to a country where when they want to do health checks in tertiary schools, they'll order female students to be in panties only and boys boxers...with male specialists having their fun! And if you miss your queue, you are a goner! Even SLT students aren't regarded!

Welcome to a country where you remind your employer that you are a First Class graduate, they'll respond “and so what? My friend, better go and carry that Barrow and fetch water before I return.”

Ok ok, let's assume you graduate and they give you a certificate, you are now a graduate.

You know what's melancholic? What's melancholic is after you graduate, you will go and start riding okada or learn hair-dressing.

Woe to Nigeria.

I don graduate as first class graduate. Now, I am a freelancer. I am available for academic writing jobs.

Once again, woe to Nigeria!

The contraption called Nigeria is a scam

Imagine the speed with which the damages are repaired because it happened in the North. If it were to be in the south, the cause ( which is well known) of the attack will be under investigation for the next 10 years

The terrorists abi bandits must not be seen to be winning .

Politically exposed persons and other persons of interest will most likely avoid the train for now.

They'll rather fly than to go on road or rail.
The sad news however is that the business men bandits are rumored to be in possession of RPGs and are capable of shooting down choppers.

The insecurity they allow to fester for selfish reasons will most likely consume them all.

Even with evidences of bullet holes on the train and damaged rail line, the Federal government through NRC and Nigeria Police Fraud have refuted the terrorist attack on the Abuja-Kaduna train.
This government is so shameless that it tell lies without fear or remorse because they know there are zombies that will always support them.

Y'all zombies are you not even ashamed of this government and yourselves?

Y'all zombies act like people who have no thinking faculty at all.
Damn it!!!

How dem go turn out en masse?

You wan make dem kpai?

The politicians that patronise it for its initially presumed high safety and security have now seen that no where in the country is safe, thanks to their ineptitude.

Even Buhari knows the air space he plies isn't safe fòr him anymore the reason the army had to buyback an anti aircraft gun from the Bandits.

cheesy With the recent bomb threats, who were they expecting to return before. Not forgetting that there’s a 99% possibility that those terrorists might attack again.
