FIYOM Urge Nigeria Industry To Adopt 3D Printing by Nobody: 12:09pm On Oct 24, 2021
A Nigeria-based tech giant, FIYOM Technology Limited, has endorsed the method of 3D printing to many Nigerians. This was advocated by FIYOM to reduce the reliance on importation.

The company commented about acquiring the use of 3D technology. It will help in different sectors by helping Nigeria save $30 billion within the next ten years.

Providing more than 100,000 new jobs for the people. Adopting 3D technology will also help to boost the country's GDP (Gross Domestic Product).

Speaking during a conference organized to announce the introduction of 3D printing in Nigeria. FIYOM technology managing director, Yomi Fowode, noted in the occasion, which was tagged '3D printing technology: Its Launching, impacts and business opportunities in Nigeria'. He also added that 3D technology will cause rapid growth in the sector and increase the country's manufacturing sector's contribution to GDP. It will also contribute a lot to other sectors of Nigeria's economy.

He stated that manufacturing industries in developed countries have adopted the production of 3D printing technology. However, he laments the low recognition of 3D in Nigeria.

Furthermore, he added that this is the right time to create awareness for the youths. With the application of 3D, they will bring their imagination to reality.

He also added that, with the help of 3D technology, medicines can be tailored to fit people of various metabolic rates. Unlike some device parts that take time to get. With the use of 3D printing, it can be produced faster and at an inexpensive cost.

Duration is within a lesser number of days and very cheap in terms of cost.

Lagos State Commissioner for science and technology, Mr. Akeem Popoola, stated that the state looks forward to rapid growth in the adoption of 3D printing. To grow its manufacturing capacity.

The Lagos state commissioner also added, that if we take a deeper look at what we have currently. We discovered most of the manufacturing parts that are used in the transformation process in Nigeria were imported from other countries.

So the government is putting more effort to make sure local products get recognition. And this will be very useful because once the product requirements are available. It will be very easy to use the equipment to build the substantial product you are about to put into production.

Ogun State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbagbu, was also present at the event. He said the advent of 3D printing technology was on time. Prof Arigbagbu also added that it will bridge the gap in the printing technology sector in Nigeria.

He said with the launching of 3D printing technology. The commissioner acknowledged that the difficulties and issues Nigeria is having in the past will come to an end.

Mr. Tunde Lemo, who is the former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, encouraged Nigerians to adopt the use of 3D printing technology. Lemo also contributed that it be adopted all over the world.

Mr. Tunde Lemo stated that the technology growth has been extraordinary. This industry is currently worth $12 billion US dollars.

Absolutely brilliant!! Everything they said here is correct. 3D industry is a multi billion dollar industry that has not yet fully tap in Nigeria why because many people or entertainment companies don't know the importance of these software application or let me say lacking of 3D firms or 3D gaming centres and 3D studios in Nigeria. Go to www.artstudio.com you will see how 3D animation companies, firms
entertainment industries and gaming industry badly need people who know how to use 3D animation software application to develop characters and environment and bring them to live.
I encourage Nigerian youths to look into this untap industry. Although, it very expensive compare to programming.
