Truthissupreme: Be calming down! I'm not speaking for you man. My submission is commonsensical that someone who inherit an advantage will hardly gives it up. You may be different but majority will tends towards this. The names you mentioned are not complete if there is Nnamdi Azikwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Anthony Enahoro et al. These heroes constituted and contributed to what we have as present day Nigeria politically, economically and otherwise. It is also instructive to know that standing up against oppression, subjugation and any form of inequality do not necessarily have to be by numbers but by indomitable will. Today the voice is louder not be because the narrative that the numbers has changed but others have become more aware, willing and prepare to flight back. |

Another diversionary tactics. Restructure Nigeria and let us start practicing fiscal federalism. I have seen some people being angry that the NW wants to reap where they did not sow. There is no need to be angry. the current structure of Nigeria allows the NW and other geopolitical zones to reap where they did not sow, the best thing is to change the structure. We need to support those that are pushing for fiscal federalism, true federalism! That is the only way. Your anger, memes and sly comments would not change anything. 2 Likes |

dre11:Lol this people and their pattern of thinking never ceases to baffle me. They do not even appreciate that the South-South are willing to relinquish 50% of their resources, it is Lion share they want. The reasons for their demands are utterly baseless, invalid, and unsurprisingly birthed from their inherent parasitic nature. Why dragging other states behind with the unending poverty and insecurity in your states? We southerners don't share the same values or customs as you. The bulk of your leaders are uneducated and the majority of them even refuse to go to school, yet you want us to bear the costs of the mismanagement and incompetence in your region? Please go back to your groundnut pyramids and hides and skin business, and use that to fix your mini-Nigeria and poverty/insecurity-ridden states. Or go reallocate your Zamfara gold revenue amongst yourselves to sort out your problems. Leave the resources belonging to the indigenous people of Southern Nigeria alone. We have our own problems to deal with and we deserve every Kobo accrued from our God given resources. Lion share ko, Buffalo share ni. |

Did you guys read the article at all?? As much as I am not a fan of all these people The person who crafted the heading of this article for so with mischievous intent I have come to discover over the years that these media houses are top three in ranking when listing the problems of Nigeria They are the one twisting narratives and confusing and dividing the country 1 Like |

Why are you insulting them? Would your insult change anything? The system and structure of Nigeria allows them to reap where they did not sow. You should be advocating for a change in system and structure of Nigeria(fiscal federalism, true federalism), so that geopolitical zones would not be able to reap where they did not sow. Grace001: |

Why should we have a sharing formula in the first place? We should be advocating for a change in system and structure(fiscal federalism, true federalism), where there is no such thing as a sharing formula, but a system where you keep what you earn. omowolewa: 1 Like |

yes my noise can change anything. But I need more people to add their voice to the noise. After all last year our noise ended SARS! What do you mean would the north allow it? Is the north God? If more southerners start to make noise about restructuring Nigeria, can the north stop it? You have a defeatist mentality. Truthissupreme: |

Kaduna State Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mohammed Shuaibu, said: “Certain percentage be set aside for poverty/insecurity-ridden states, and 13 per cent derivation should remain, but extended to mineral resources.” The mistake our fathers did with Educationally Disadvantaged States will never repeat Because of that, someone scores 5/400, gain admission, graduate and come to be appointed Director |

This is the reason why alot of you remained unemployed or jobless because you are hasty in jumping into conclusions without reading the details. The headline is misleading, there is nowhere those states were asking for the Lion share to their region... They are only advicing the FG to give all the 36 states 60%... Everybody just jumped at the headline and started typing gibberish. |

This is what happen when we have people who know how to consume rather than produce in office. The statement kano is a mini-Nigeria got me hard . I would like to pose secretary to kano state government few questions; 1. How is Kano state a mini Nigeria? Explain in no fewer than 100 words. 2. What is the contribution of Kano state to the federal pool account. In the nearest possible figure. 3. What is the of Kano as a mini Nigeria.. No fewer than 200 words. This is my submission: Kano is only a mini Nigeria on paper and on the Nigerian map. Practically is is a lazy and sleeping giant the the 'big' Nigeria is. It has been led through the years by clueless governors just like Nigeria is. It has mismanaged huge amount of monies and has now retorted to begging for alms just the way the principal of Nigeria was begging for alms and that it's debt profile be wiped clean just like that. NO be juju be that? My question now is if every state start asking for their own 1% just as the NW states and Lagos states has done where are we heading to? |

sulaak: You can't have said it more better. Each state government eagerly waits for their handout at the end of the month. Because they know monies with surely come. Hence they don't need to work hard. Each state need to focus on their strengths and grow at their own pace. 1 Like |
