"And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me. "And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him. And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones. But when he saw Jesus afar off, he ran and worshipped him, And cried with a loud voice, and said, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of the most high God? I adjure thee by God, that thou torment me not. For he said unto him, Come out of the man, thou unclean spirit. And he asked him, What is thy name? And he answered, saying, My name is Legion: for we are many. And he besought him much that he would not send them away out of the country. Now there was there nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding. And all the devils besought him, saying, Send us into the swine, that we may enter into them. And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand and were choked in the sea. And they that fed the swine fled, and told it in the city, and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that was done. And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid." (Mark 5:1-15)



“We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.” (1 John 5:18)



What are demons?

Demons are or were fallen angels. Satan was an angel who rebelled against God and was cast out of heaven. Other angels rebelled along with him and became his minions. These fallen angels became demons. Demons are also referred to as evil (or unclean or polluted) spirit.



Now, a demon is an enemy of God and an enemy of men. They are wicked spirits who torment human beings both on earth and in hell. A demon seeks to dominate, control and influence the lives and minds of men and women they possess for their onw satanic agenda and programs. They are the number 1 enemies of your souls. This is why they are generally known as *evil* spirits.



Now, demons can be found everywhere. On land, in the air (space) and in the waters. Their ubiquitous nature makes it easy for men to contact and contract them. Unfortunately, most men contract these evil spirits involuntarily or by accident. Ignorance is a major problem here.



A certain woman visited an herbalist for protection against household enemies. While waiting to see him, a woman approached her and asked her why she is there to see the native doctor. She replied that she is there for fortification from attacks by her husband's other wives. So the woman told her that she belongs to a powerful group (cult) where they defend and protect their members and also avenge them. She handed him a kolanut seed to swallow that it will give her power against all her enemies. The woman ignorantly collected the kolanut seed and swallowed it. When she slept at night, she found herself in a coven of witches where they slaughtered and were sharing human flesh. She knew she was doomed and started running from pillar to post to be delivered from witchcraft initiation. Unknown to her, the kolanut seed she had swallowed was an initiation into their coven.



This is how many people keep getting demons they didn't ask for.



There are certain places and certain things that are forbidden for a child of God or that God forbids for mankind generally, if you do those things, you are on your own. Satan is readily available to attack and come in anytime you break God's commandments.



Demons don't just possess someone and share their bodies alone, they also open doors for other demons to come into the person and they like to transmit demons from person to person.



There was a guy who slept with a fair and attractive lady he met during a birthday party on their campus. After that, he developed a sudden and unusual interest in the occult and dark arts. He was a catholic and this is unlike him. After restlessly searching and digging into the occult, he was finally initiated into an occult brotherhood. It was after his initiation that he met the lady he had slept with earlier who is a high ranking member of that cult. He didn't know that the lady was their contact person in the cult. During the supposed sex, a demon from the cult was placed inside him to lead him and force him to join the cult. It then dawned on him that he has just become a victim of satanic manipulation. Satan is looking for souls and cultism is one of of the ways he gains souls.



“Do not prostitute thy daughter, to cause her to be a LovePeddler; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness.” (Leviticus 19:29)



The Lord showed me years ago how prostitution breeds iniquities and wickedness. I had read the above scripture many times but never fully understood the meaning until I got this revelation. If you recall, in my article on secrets of witchcraft, I mentioned the spirits of witchcraft to include anger, stealing, lying, destruction, greed, envy, etc. I also stated in that article that most cases of prostitution are caused by witchcraft spirits. So when a man sleeps with an harlot or a woman of easy virtue, certain demons of witchcraft are passed into him through sex. The ones commonly transferred are anger, stealing, lying, deception, hatred. When the man receives these demons, they begin to influence, manipulate and control him. The spirit of hatred alone will make him to despicable and horrible things. The spirit of stealing will lead to armed robbery, burglary, gambling and the likes. This is why the bible says where prostitutions is allowed, crime and criminality also spike. Prostitution is a trade in which demons are exchanged and souls are traded. A prostitute is just the "exchange." She collects demons and distributes them.



I have said it in previous articles that demons represents every bad thing, vices, cruelty, and wickedness out there. There are demons behind witchcraft, cultism, wars, riots and violence, domestic violence, marital chaos, poverty, delays, curses, spells, accidents, terrorism, secret cults, prostitution, blackmails, slander, backbiting, destruction, misfortune, manslaughters, economic downturn, corporate prostitution, hardship and so on. This is why anyone who loves and does these things cannot see the kingdom of heaven because they are all demonic acts. I remember the first time someone cast a spell on me without me knowing. I just started lusting after every woman I see to sleep with them. I was in a church camp then preparing for my ministry. Thank God I was able to control myself. It was when I was about to pray at night that I felt this evil anointing, like a cold thing on my head, trying to control me. Then the Lord said, "They have cast a spell on you."



Every time you engage in something demonic, you become possessed with a demon. Common avenues for demonic possession includes illicit sex, enchantments and spells, bewitched food, occultic games, demonic consultations, palm reading, seances, idol worship, offering sacrifices to deities and spirits, satanic movies, music and videos, satanic books, incest, occultism, charms, talisman and other occultic paraphernalia; dedication to idols, rivers and other vile entities, burning incense and demonic candles, praying to any image or statue, wearing demonic clothes. There was a time in my house that I suffered some vicious demonic attacks that nearly wear me out. The demon behind the attacks went on to possess my neighbour just to get at me. My next door neighbour would get angry with me for no just reason, yelling that I made the house too hot for him. He claimed that he is a king and does not deserve this harsh treatment and torture from me. He will stay in his room and yell all day, hurling slurs and casting aspersions on me. He claimed that even Jesus himself did not prayed as hard and as much as I do. Then the spiritual and dream attacks became intense at one point that I couldn't sleep. I kept asking God to show me what's wrong. Then one day I was going through old clothes kept in a bag by the corner of my room. I was tired and weary as a result of the intense and consistent attacks. Then I found one T-shirt with a large image of a dragon printed on it. The dragon wore a crown on its head. Then it now dawned on me that this was the demon that possessed my neighbour. He claimed to be a king, here is a dragon with a crown on its head, indicating royalty. He said I had been torturing him and making the house too hot for him, here it was right there in my room feeling the heat from my intense and regular prayers. So I took the clothe out and burned it. That was how the attacks stopped and my neighbour's countenance and behaviour changed. He was even ashamed and remorseful for his behaviour and attitude towards me in the last few days.





Familiar spirits are some of the most seductive and destructive spirits on earth. There are cases of incest that I have investigated that was caused by a familiar spirit. There was a girl that was brought to a man of God for deliverance. In fact, her entire family came. She was a teenager and had slept with her father and two brothers. Her mum was traumatized and she dragged all of them to the man of God. When the man of God was about to pray, the Lord said the girl has a familiar spirit and that was the problem. When you meet a woman or man that has a familiar spirit, you may be slain in the spirit. This is because familiar spirits are huge and fat in nature and they are bigger and taller than the spirits of the natural man. Without the Holy Spirit, familiar spirits can easily manipulate and oppress anyone. When you sleep with someone that has a familiar spirit you will actually be possessed with the spirit of the dead. This is because familiar spirits are the spirits of the dead. This is why when you see dead people in the dream, they will say they are familiar spirits. Familiar spirits are spirits from the grave.



Now most demons that people, especially Christians have are inherited, they inherited it from their parents and their parents inherited it from their own parents down to the fourth generation. In my journey into deep deliverance, I have seen people from polygamous homes (polygamy is from idolatry) possessed with the the spirit of lust which they transfer to their children and grandchildren. I have seen people from broken homes possessed with the spirit of seduction whereby they are not able to stay with one partner. They are always going from one partner to another. Anyone born to a family where they worshipped idols or bear their names are always born with the spirit of fornication, because idolatry is fornication: whoever serves or worships an idol is fornicating with that idol because mankind is married to God. Having another god is engaging in fornication/adultery. These people may cheat on their spouse even though they know it's a sin. I have seen people from royal families possessed with the spirit of anger and pride which they pass on to their children and children's children. This is why a king's wrath sometimes is fearful.



I remember when I just landed at the Christian camp to pray and prepare for my ministry. I started having dreams of getting angry, destroying things and attacking people. I dreamt such dreams daily and I remembered when you are having a dream repeatedly, you need to address it quick or you are done for. I prayed against the spirit of anger severally but the dream didn't stop. Then I remembered my dad has anger issues. He was always losing his temper and losing control on any slight provocation. Then I realize my anger was inherited.



A lot of people have inherited demons inside them that they know don't of. These spirits still influences these people and influences their behaviour and character. Most bad habits are from inherited demons. If you had prayed against something but it is still happening in your life, then check your foundation, it is from there.



A lot of the spirits of lusts you find in people were inherited. If there is something bad you are doing that you can't stop or control, there is an inherited demon behind it. Spirits of slavery are inherited. Idolatry is the cause and the root of slavery.



Demons of failure, poverty, backwardness, laziness, lying, witchcraft can be inherited. Even if it is a covenant or curse, it is being represented by a demon.



A Christian cannot be possessed by a demon except he or she breaks God's laws or disobeys the Holy Spirit. Aside this and demons that you got when you were in the world, the others must be inherited demons. Some people may think maybe it's their personality or character or personality type but they don't know some evil thing they inherited is what they call their personality. Some will be like, "you know me that I have anger..." You actually have the spirit of anger you inherited from your parents. Some are into talebearing and they think it is their character, but no, their demon of confusion is inherited.



I know a girl who lies a lot and she will get angry if you confront her with the truth or the fact that she is lying. Sometimes she will insist that it is the truth and she will be hell-bent on it. She was very manipulative and deceptive and you would hardly know if she is lying or saying the truth. She even lied to her fiancé that she was a virgin until she confessed unknowingly that she was once pregnant and she had to remove it forgetting that she'd once told him that she was a virgin. This was a born again Christian. Until she saw her dad in the dream teaching her to lie and he himself lying and deceiving people did she learned that she had inherited the spirit of lying.



Brethren, the world is deeper than you think. They say everything that happen is for a reason and what is now has already been. Even iniquity has its own secret/mystery. Next time when you see people behaving in a strange way or weird manner, don't judge them. Maybe it's their inherited demon. The thing is, as a demon goes from generation to generation it becomes stronger and becomes more powerful. David only lustily snatched someone's wife, but his own son lusted after hundreds of women and married them till they took his heart away. Maybe your dad only slept with three girls before he got married and changed his ways, now you know how many girls you have slept with?



A lot of bondages are inherited. Demonic sicknesses are inherited. Backbiting, gossiping, mental problems, prostitution and promiscuity could be inherited, they could also be acquired.



*What to do*



Speak the truth. If you lie a lot, it will open doors to demons in your life.



Abstain from sexual immorality.



Pray before you eat.



Wear 'clean' clothes



Avoid pornographic and horror movies



Do not partake in any demonic tradition, culture, festivals



Fill your soul and spirit with the word of God.



Fear God, this will restrain you from doing evil



Receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit - who will guide you unto all truth.
