The Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) Movement in Diaspora has been formed and has appointed seasoned politician and businessman, Dr. James Omolaja Odumbaku as its Patron.

The movement which is now present in the USA, UK, and other European countries like Belgium, France, Holland, and Germany has also appointed its ECOWAS principal officers which include Alhaji Adebowale Adeyemo (West Africa Coordinator), Mr. Olatunji Olugbenga Owolabi, Alhaji Lawal Usman, Mr. Olatunde Orioye, Mrs. Deborah Ayodeji (Women Affairs), Mrs. Lizzy A. Onyebolise, (Welfare Officer), Mrs. Ibironke Iron Lady (Treasurer).

Otunba Femi Soluade was also appointed as the director-general (coordinating/admin/finance) of the movement following an executive meeting which was held in the UK while Seyi Bamigbade, the National Coordinator of Buhari-Osinbajo hope movement takes over as the Nigerian coordinator of diaspora affairs.

Other executive members from Nigeria include Olalekan Ajimoti; Digital Media Executive, and Kenny Ojo; Logistic & Operations Executive.

In his words, the ABAT diaspora general coordinator, Akogun Banji Ojo said the drum of support rolling behind Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is due to his unending effort as an elder statesman in promoting unity in the country and his vast experience in corporate governance which will help in reviving the Nigerian economy, a feat in which he also achieved during his tenure as the executive governor of Lagos state. This also qualifies him as a viable presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections.

Emphasizing the need for the movement in the diaspora, Akogun Banji Ojo said it will help strengthen Asiwaju Tinubu’s political ambitions come 2023, also boost campaign efforts among Nigerians living abroad (various social media accounts have also been set up to affect this) in an effort to allow them to make rightful decisions.

He however charged appointed executive members in the diaspora to work according to the vision and values of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, showcase his good works, and become good representatives of the movement in their respective countries.
