PDP National Convention Consensus List Emerges Without Oyinlola by Shegman22(m): 10:19pm On Oct 30, 2021
Former governor Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has been technically knocked off the race for the deputy national chairman (south) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as his name is conspicuously missing in the consensus list that has emerged at the ongoing national convention.

Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja is the sole name indicated for the post in the list-making him the preferred candidate for the post.
Also missing is the name of Hajia Inna Ciroma who had insisted on contesting the office of the national deputy chairman (north).

Umar Ilya Damagum has been selected by the party as he is the name appearing on the list for the position.

Arapaja just floored Oyinlola for the post of Deputy National Chairman (South)......from what I am seeing, Bode George camp are winning as Chief Doherty had been schemed out already for the position of Deputy National Secretary when he suddenly stepped down for Arc Setonji Koshoedo meaning, the badly conducted Wards Congress in Lagos will be revisited.

These people arebunch of jokers. Why wasting time, money and efforts in the first place, by organising a caricature convention, when they knew all along that some people would seat in their hotel rooms and select who they wanted to hand the party over to?

You really don't understand the meaning of consensus.
Consensus means all parties or candidates in an election must agree at a certain conclusion. Once 1 or 2 out of candidates disagree. It's no longer a consensus.

most post in national level where zoned to states were PDP has lesser influence. Even the ones that were zone to PDP control states, the party make sure the position is macro zone to senatorial area that PDP has lesser influence as well. This
is done to boast the party popularity. As you know they only have 27 national office, so some States will be left out. Even Edo and Rivers states were left out too, thought Edo state has the position of vice national chairman, SS already.
