I never claimed to be a wise fellow, and I did not write history as well. I learnt even as a kid that the yorubas partnered and danced to the tune of the governnent against the Igbos, and a yoruba commander even slaughtered many. They cut food supplies to helpless weak women and children, but let by gones be bye gones lol cuz you call this truth wailing..

Well, I don't know how old you are, but whoever told you that history LIED to you.


I'm not your history teacher, but here's some lessons for you. Unlike you, I was taught history in primary and secondary schools.


First, Yorubas NEVER had any agreement to go to war to back up the Igbos.


The late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo told the young but brash lieutenant Ojukwu to seek dialogue instead of war.


Awolowo told him that IF the Igbos WERE ALLOWED to leave Nigeria, there would be no reason for Yorubas to continue to stay in Nigeria.


Awolowo had no reason to drag his people to fight your war for you. Yorubaland was the capital of Nigeria at the time with the military head of state in Dodan barracks and not in Abuja.


Second, it had always been the Igbos who partnered with the Fulanis to enslave all the ethnic groups in Southern Nigeria.


It was Nnamdi Azikiwe who formed a government of unity with Tafawa Balewa, when he could have formed one with his fellow Southerner, Awolowo. But he hated the Yorubas and went up north to sell the South to the North. They gave him an errand boy position for his troubles.

Ojukwu who should have sat his ass back in the east and defended his territory decided to bring his war to Yorubaland and conquer the Yorubas.

WATIMAGBO! The whole of Yorubaland has never been conquered in a war before and it will NEVER!. He was beaten blue black and sent scampering back to the east with his tail between his legs.

You truly don't know the facts. The Nigerian government, particularly the then minister of finance, Chief Obafemi Awolowo opened a food corridor for the the Biafrans so that Red Cross and CARITA, a Catholic charitable organization could bring in food for the Igbos.

Guess what? Ojukwu began to use the corridor as a way to import weapons and prolong the war.

It is on record that he purposely encouraged the starvation of his people, took pictures of their skinny, bony bodies and tried to use them to get international pity.


He should have been tried for war crimes against his people but instead, he went back to Nigeria from where he ran to and contested for the presidency of the country he wanted to break up.
