So, so wrong.
The nature of United's problems has Conte as a real solution.
No doubt the talent is there but in Ole you do not have a strict disciplinarian and a match day leader.
United is clearly a team without significant coaching input, a team that cannot respond to changing adversity, that has lost its ability to turn matches around as in times past.
Ole is clearly too soft, nothing like the intensity of Sir Alex and exactly what Conte has.
Moreover Italian soccer has this knack for working well with aged players. Serie A is full of them and I believe he will have no problem working with the two oldies in front.
Finally as a former defender Conte will have been the best solution to the shambolic United rear guard.
Perfect fit in my opinion. Someone who will have told truth to the Glazer powers.
Perhaps they knew that and will rather settle for a pansy.
