*SPEECH DELIVERED ON THE 4TH OF NOVEMBER* *2021 AT THE OCCASION OF THE OFFICIAL ADOPTION OF* *DR OBIORA OKWONKWO OF THE ZENITH LABOUR PARTY* *ZLP IN THE 2021 ANAMBRA STATE GOVERNORSHIP* *ELECTIONS HOLDING ON THE 6TH NOVEMBER 2021.*

Our *NYDP* national executive council Committee Members from the six Geo political Zones of Nigeria, the South East *NYDP* Coordinator, Anambra State *NYDP* Chairman and his Executives and distinguished gentlemen of the press.

We thank you all for attending this very urgent press briefing to inform, mobilize and educate Nigerians and *NYDP* members both home and abroad on the need to ahere to our agitation to takeover the mantle of leadership in Nigeria come 2023 with a solid focus on the Anambra state Governorship elections holding on the 6th of November we the eyes of the people focused on every election activities as the case maybe.

We therefore on this note call on all our youth members across Anambra state to be informed that our great party the Nigeria Youths Democratic Party *NYDP* has taken an official decision to choose the person of *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* as our adopted candidate for the 2021 Anambra state Governorship elections.

The major reason why we have adopted *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* as our *NYDP* candidate in this elections because he has everything it takes to lead the good people of Anambra state from where they are today to a Good, better and best condition of life.

We decided to work with *Dr OBIORA* because we want the best person to takeover Anambra State for the good of our democracy and people.

He's a man that can have a listening ear in issues of state development.

We want a man that should be able to concentrate of developmental milestones so that the people won't continue to suffer in poverty as we have seen so far.

We in the *NYDP* want a capacity personality that has the education to understand that democracy is a government that deals with the people and when you take away the people it is no more called democracy, it is then called autocracy which is not needed in Nigeria at anytime.

My fellow *NYDP* MEMEBERS in Anambra state, we call on you to do the needful in making sure that we all come out on Sunday to vote for *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* of the *ZLP* .

We need to show them that we are a people of great force and integrity.
We have decided to support *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* of the *ZLP* in this election because we prefer the best person to enter, win and bring development to the people.

*Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* is no march for all the candidates listed by other political parties in this election and it is an advantage for us to ask you to join us as members to vote him into office this Saturday.

It is official that the national chairman and the national executive council Committee Members have voted for the *ZLP* candidate in the personality of *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* so that Anambra state can start enjoy the true dividend of democracy as the case maybe.

Democracy provides us the opportunity to present the best person to handle state affairs and in this note we have together as a family to ask all our over 1million youth members in Anambra state to come out on Saturday to vote our own candidate in partnership to present a credible leadership for Anambra state after this Saturday by God's grace.

All youths in Anambra state must come all out this Saturday to prove to the world that we have come of our senses to do things the right way.

When there's any hardship In the land it is the youths who suffer the most and we have decided to form the *NYDP* to work together as a team to takeover Nigeria come 2023 with a small sample with the showcase of our strength in the Saturday elections of *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* of the *ZLP* as winner.

We can do it because we did it before, let's remember the activities of the *ENDSARS* protest that gave bath to the great *NYDP* today.

For the sake of the *ENDSARS* struggle, our fellow youths that were shot and those that were killed by the military, we must see that pain in our heart and convert it to show case a strong solidarity to their deaths and wounds by coming out like wounded lions and like bees to vote for our adopted candidate *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* using the last political party on the ballot called the *ZLP* come this Saturday.

It's our time to shine. It's our time to showcase our power and strength in unity.
Let's come out and do this for our brothers and sisters in Anambra state.

We ask all the *NYDP* members in all the units in Anambra state to stand up and defend their votes come this Saturday.

Come out in all the units and the polling boots to cast your votes.
Don't allow anybody fool you in any way.

When they bring money and ask you to vote for their candidates, collect the money it is our national cake, but after collecting the money don't forget to vote for our own candidate *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* under the *ZLP* .

*ZLP* is the last party on the ballot paper. So make sure you toomprint very clean on the last party on the ballot paper.

We are tired of recirculing the same people all the time.

*Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* is clean.
He has everything Anambra state needs in a positive Governor.
A man who has the touch at hand to repair the broken walls of the Anambra state economy.

A man that is ready to create employment for the youths, a man who is on ground with the international community in areas of providing basic eminites and quality leadership for the Anambra state people.

Leta come out and show the world the we the youths have decided to vote the candidate of the *ZLP* in this elections.

Distinguish *MEMEBERS* of the press we have decided and this is final for us.
We have accepted to support and this is the end for us.

We have accepted to push for a credible leadership in Anambra state come this Saturday and nobody should be deceived to vote for no other person than for *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* of the *ZLP* .

The *NYDP* members in Anambra state are more than *500,000* persons and we have the number to decide who becomes the next governor of Anambra state, so on this note we are calling on *INEC* to do the needful by allowing our votes to count.

*INEC* must make sure people are able to vote, our votes must count and *INEC* should make sure that collated votes are transfered electronically so there would be no issues like in other elections.

*INEC* must note that any attempt to rig this election in favour of any political party will spell doom for the region as the region have already started experiencing some pocket troubles across the states.

*INEC* must open up to all the parties in question on an equal level so that the winner of this election can stand up with respect.

We the *NYDP* therefore reject any fraudulent electioneering activities in this election if any occurs and I'll surely request the results if we notice any irregularities in vote casting, voting counting and voting buying or selling.
And finally we pray that *INEC* must put all pressure on the security forces sent by the military and the police to do the right thing by making sure that voters are not intimidated out of their units during accreditation and voting.

And again we call on *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* and the leadership of the *ZLP* at the national to get ready for celebration because there's no way the adopted *NYDP* candidate in person of *Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO* would not become our Anambra state Governorship elections winner.

Roll out the drums and get the dance floor clean up because we have designed the air to have a massive wave of votes down pour come Saturday by God's grace.
Everybody who is a youth in Anambra state shall come out to vote and that person they are voting for must be Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO of the ZLP.

It will be a record in history that the Anambra state people will say God gave them a governor indeed in the person of Dr OBIORA OKWONKWO of the ZLP.
