Introduction to the Job

A graduate engineer of 0-2 years experience required to participate in a development program. Incumbent will assist in providing technical analyses, solutions and recommendations to operations customer in accordance with TechnipFMC procedures, project manual and the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and API Q2

Role and responsibilities

Assist Senior Engineers, Operations Coordinators, Workshop Manager, and Quality dept. resolve technical requests. Receives detailed instructions & guidance through design steps for routine projects. Findings are most often summarized & reported to others for further analysis.
Assists in providing technical support to Client, Offshore Operation and Onshore organization
Develops the skill set required for staff engineer role. Required to work in different departments and organizational groups as part of structured career development plan. Work, progress & results are reviewed for accuracy, completeness & soundness of judgement.
Prepare technical reports to substantiate analyses, proposals, costs, and investigations for approval of assigned senior engineers. Prepares technical data and papers for sales personnel, customers and publications using good internal presentation and report writing skills. May assist in product cost estimates (Non-essential).
Prepare Service Notifications, Quality Notifications, and Service alerts in accordance with TechnipFMC Management System. Prepares test reports and closure reports on engineering project assignments.
Proposes design changes, technical improvements, and procedural changes, in order to improve safety standards, operating efficiency, and product quality and reliability as might be directed by appropriate technical authority.
Prepares engineering documentation, information and communications such as ECN (Engineering Change Notice), DBI (Data Base Information) and engineering specifications, and ensures conformance to all policies and procedures related to engineering functions, labor reporting and systems reporting.
Creates clear technical instructions regarding refurbishment, installations, maintenance and/or repair of equipment following quality and sound engineering guidelines.
Demonstrates an awareness of policies, procedures, and best practices while providing technical solutions and improvements accounting for safety and cost efficiency, keeping high safety and service standards.
Expected to actively contribute to the HSE system and comply with relevant legislation, regulations and other requirements. Committed to the prevention of pollution.
Completes all training, tasks, and pass all assessments as laid out in the Engineering Development Plan within allotted time and structure.
Carry out duties as might be assigned by designated senior engineer(s) or managers.

You are meant for this job if
You have a BSc degree in Engineering or equivalent
0-2 years of cognate experience post NYSC
Good communication skills, fluent in verbal and written English.
Knowledge of trends & economic conditions affecting the technical field.
Demonstrable ability to apply logical reasoning to solving complex problems.
Ability and self-motivation towards learning and career growth.
Ability to interact effectively with wide range of disciplines and groups at work environment.
Strong work ethics and commitment to achieving set goals per established development plan.
Is respectful of others, open to other’s viewpoints, listens effectively.
Participates as a team member & communicates information to appropriate parties at the appropriate time.
