Today Igbo's are told they are fighting for our freedom. And the message of marginalization is used to generate hate for other ethnic groups.

We are told Yoruba's are saboteurs while fulani's are the greater enemy. They are responsible for the poverty and underdevelopment of igboland.

They are the ones that marginalised us. But is that the truth? Lets dive in.

In 2006 when a national census was to be conducted, Uwazurike who was the " FREEDOM FIGHTER" at the time, told Igbo's to boycott the census. That Biafra will come if they did.

Many Igbo's obeyed and boycotted, the census. As a result Igbo's became minority, based on population.

When plans are made in Nigeria, the result of that census is used. Till date, Nigeria has not conducted another census.

Today, the same freedom fighters regret that decision.

Today, another FREEDOM FIGHTER, Nnamdi Kanu tells Igbo's to boycott elections. He told Igbo's that APC was a fulani party and against Igbo's interest.

Igbo's distanced themselves from APC, while SW and SS embraced the party. PDP lost, when it was time to share appointments, Igbo's began to cry.

The same person that discouraged Igbo's from investing in APC, turned around to use the loss of the elections and appointments to stair up hatred against the north.

Our people say in igboland " Onye Gbaa bolu, Olachaa oloma" ( if you follower and play ball, you will follow to lick orange after the match).

They have done the same thing in Anambra, asking Igbo's to sit at home and not vote.

While they are benefiting financially from this election sit at home and boycott order, it is damaging the mindset of Igbo's towards national politics.

They did it 4 years ago and reduced igbo participation, they are doing it again in Anambra, further reducing igbo participation.

Many Igbo's dont have voters card and those who have are not interested.

By 2023, the interest and participation of Igbo's will become lower. Elections will be held, and maybe someone from the SW or SS will emerge.

The same people will use the outcome of the elections to convince Igbo's that they are hated. Incite more violence and generate more donations from the agitation.

Now that its morally right for Igbo's to be given a chance to produce president. The same Igbo's are creating enemies all over Nigeria. Burning the bridges that should be built.

At the end of the day, Igbo's loose out poltically and economically.

Believe it or not, the economy of the SE is collapsing. Igbo's in the SE are becoming poorer with the sit at home madness.

Businesses are collapsing, people are loosing their jobs. Unemployment rate is rising in the east. The future of this region is looking dark and gloomy.

Unfortunately, the only people who are benefiting are the FREEDOM FIGHTERS.
