I don't think the army's departure is unconnected with the recent apprehension of a bus loaded with armed bandits

South West brace up. Harmattan is coming.

Before the Nigerian Military knows what is going on, they would become very useless in the security of the country and people will no longer have regard for them anymore.

Federal Government pays Salary of Army, police, etc

But the person or state the Army or police are actually working for will be paying them Allowance

So, in this case, while FG pays basic salary, Ondo State is expected to pay Allowance and provide operational logistics.

The arrangement you described is fraught with a lot of irregularities.

The FG should allow state policing or fully fund the security agents on it's payroll. Why ask the Governor's to provide allowances to the personnel that are controlled by the FG?

May the good Lord continue to bless and renew my governor wisdom and understanding.

The Nigerian army is currently eating dinner with three hands. Ask me how? They are receiving monthly salary, collecting location allowance from state government and thirdly collecting bribery and collision money from travellers on the Nigerian roads in the name of providing security for roads users. The Nigerian army personnel are all smilling to the bank.

Meanwhile, the so called military personnel are now weakened by distractions provided by unusual duty assignments. They are now competition with the Nigerian police on sundry duties because of lucre and comfort arising. The Fulani leadership of Nigeria is a curse because rational mind and instincts are no longer in use in the Nigerian government system. Looking for money by all means is the top issue overiding professional activities.

Governor Aketi should maintain focus on providing good governance and security for the people of Ondo State using local resources to the maximum and best practices. The south west is not for the taking of banditry leadership of Nigeria.

They have removed the check points because they know Fulani jihadists are coming there soon to do Satan's bidding which is to kill, steal and destroy. The fulanisation of Nigeria continues. Stay tuned.
