Learn to put value in whatever you do because you'll soon graduate and I believe that this mentality won't help you go far on time. yemmybx: 5-6 naira? I pray I was doing research work 3000 words for 10k, only to find out that my boss was collecting 90k for the job. You can imagine how I felt. What I was getting was about #3 to #4, yet. |

Trojan8: You see what I was saying. Our young graduates should stop devaluing their skills and potentials. When that guy finally graduates, if he has not changed he'll just be doing so much in his office and be earning little that may not even sustain him. In the same office, he'll see some persons doing little but they will be smiling to the bank, dressing nicely and happy all the time because they placed value on themselves. Some can write but cannot find clients. Some have been searching for clients to no avail. Some feel it's not working for them. Others get clients and they call the tune. You should not insult anyone, please. On Upwork, you bid and put your quotes for an almost-nothing rate to increase your ratings. Freelance writing is saturated.  So what he did was actually bidding. It didn't mean I'd pay him ₦1.5pw. My rates were clearly stated. Some of those who applied who are professional writers don't have Turnitin too! Let your words be seasoned with salt. |

chatinent:I understand this, maybe the insults were a bit harsh but then I don't see why one should bid below what is being offered. It shows that he's probably not confident in himself or just like the idea of suffering and smiling. You and I know that what he's bidding for can't work in the long run. After one job, he would be the one hassling you to increase your rate. |
