Once you go inverter, you can never go back

Hello guys

I have been reading your messages and I am quite impressed that there is a community for inverter using and sellers

So the below is my setup

I bought the first one (red battery) with a 1500w 12V inverter with a 55ah battery in 2023

Then got the 100ah battery with a 2500w 12v inverter

Both with there battery chargers

I live around Ijegun area of lagos and have not seen Phcn supply in 5 months(February 28 to be precise)

So most time I use my generator (a 6.7kva generator) to charger both for 2-3 hours a day at night. (About 3-5litres a day)

But as cost ballooned I got had an old I pass my neighbor that I had a generator guy work on so I could use it to charger one battery at a time(started this in April)

So the same 3-4 litre now runs for 4-6 hours allowing me to charge one after the other(extra cost of having to service the I pass my neighbor monthly)

From all I have heard here, Lately I have been thinking about getting solar panels, but this presents it own challenge

I want to know

Are there different panels for 12v batteries as against 24v batteries?
How many panels do I need to ensure I get a full charge?
Is there a way to combine both batteries so I can use one charger to charge both at the same time?

Also I am thinking of getting a small inverter fridge(table top or small fridges like you see in hotel rooms) are there inverter fridges at that size and can any of my inverters carry them?

Sorry say I ask too many questions

I'm interested in this at that price. So i'm guessing it can carry my 19v 65w laptop? But how about the solar panel to charge it sir?

Latest test video on 3000w Easun Pure Sinewave inverter.

Price: 103,000

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IL9R254qXFA

Test was aimed at knowing how many home appliances and their watts rating that the inverter can carry before tripping off on overload protection.

Test was done using:
- 3000w 12v pure sinewave inverter
- 12.8v 100ah Powmr Lithium (LiFePO4) battery
- 12v 20a Lithium charger
- KL110F 100A battery monitor with bluetooth function to monitor watts and current pull of the appliances

Appliances tested and sequence of testing include:
Sequence 1: Maxi 10kg washing machine (400w) + Haier Thermocool 100L deep freezer (80w) + LG Smart Compressor Refrigerator (85w) + Playstation 3 (100w) + Hisense 55" smart TV (130w) + Panasonic toasting machine (760w). Total appliance pull was between 1,200w - 1400w, and inverter didnt trip off. But the overload light came on as the load got close to 1400w

Sequence 2: Maxi 10kg washing machine (400w) + Haier Thermocool 100L deep freezer (80w) + LG Smart Compressor Refrigerator (85w) + Royal blender (400w). Total appliance pull was between 550w - 680w. Inverter didnt trip off and overload light didn't come on

Sequence 3: Binatone pressing iron (1200w). Appliance pull was 1,394w. Inverter didnt trip off. But the overload light came on

Sequence 4: Dual-face inductive cooker. Small face (1410w). Inverter didnt trip off. But the overload light came on. Big face (1596w). Inverter tripped off on overload

Hello bro,

This inverter can power 2 deep freezers, so it will effortlessly power your 19v 65w laptop.

Solar panels are required to charge the battery that will supply sufficient power for the inverter to power your appliances

Good morning everyone,
I’m planning a *cost-friendly* solar backup system to replace NEPA outages and need advice on capacity and brands. Target loads are:

1. 2 TVs (55" and 32"wink + decoder
2. 5 ceiling fans (not all on simultaneously) + 2 rechargeable fans
3. 4 laptops
4. 15 LED bulbs (5 W each)
5. Scanfrost 8 kg top-loader washing machine
6. Haier/Thermocool 259 L chest freezer

I’m a newbie and want an affordable/durable hybrid pure sine-wave inverter, long-life batteries, and efficient solar panels that can reliably power these appliances for several hours. Please recommend cost-friendly/affordable suitable capacities (inverter kVA, battery Ah and type, solar array wattage) and reputable brands.
Thank you!

Replace with one with higher current value.
Snap the present one.

It still got damaged after 2 days. It seems the inverter fan driver supplies excess current after some time.
I had to make a hole on top of the inverter and install an external fan connected to the positive and negative terminals of the inverter. However, it runs 24 hours a day. I need a thermostat to regulate it.

What is the capacity of your Inverter?
What is your constant load?

Reason is not all loads need fan.

A good 500w continuous inverter do not need a fan for say 100w load if there is air around it.

Great!
If you can snap the burnt fans it will be good.

Hello everyone

I live at ikorodu and for the past 4 months now our light has been so bad. I have 2 generator sets which I used to pump water but running it for household is draining my pocket. So I am thinking of doing a solar system at least that can carry even just one TV 43inch, light the room and compound and we can use it to changes phones too

My budget is 400k. I don't know if I can see an inverter with atleast 200ahs battery and solar panel with other stuff to make it work for my budget.

Your suggestion will be appreciated

My empathies on what you are currently passing through.

But do you refer to the Easun Inverter?

How were you able to verify that the fan no longer works? I am asking because the fan picks up only when you put on significant load (>300w thereabout). Say freezer, TV, etc

Finally, have you been replacing with the OEM fan that came with the inverter originally? As much as possible, and for critical parts, I endeavour to replace with the follow-come ones direct from the company themselves so as to ensure best results

I have recorded just 3 cases of defective fan (with you being the 3rd) so far, so i will begin stocking the fans by next February for repairs

Replacing fan doesn’t work. Same problem will keep happening after few days.
I think the current issue with the inverter is, fan driver got burnt on big load. So, it sends in more than 14v to the inbuilt DC fan.

I am able to use the inverter by installing a separate 24v thermostat set at 40.01 degrees with a 24v dc fan connected it.
Thermostat is connected to inverter terminals.

Good evening everyone. I bought this batteries from a friend, the electrolyte in them is completely dried but he claimed they can still be resuscitated with electrolyte and professional charging.
Is this truly possible, my bosses?

You have asked before buying.
Is it very cheap?
Fill up with the appropriate distilled water and test out.

Do you need solar panels to use an inverter? Cos we live in a rented apartment and can’t install solar panels on the roof. My gen doesn’t carry our fridge so considering other options. Please I would appreciate input.
