Anambra 2021: The Hypocrisy Of Igbos by Zandena(f): 10:19am On Nov 10, 2021
The just concluded Anambra state governorship elections has exposed the hypocrisy and bewilderment of the igbos who are all over the place jubilating the victory of Prof Soludo of All progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) calling it "the choice of the people " .
When it happens in the east it is people's choice, but when it happens somewhere else like Lagos it is godfatherism. However when there preferred candidates could not sail through in the presidential election, they begins to call out names with their sophorific narratives that has no space in any democratic norms.
Now they are all over the place clamouring for 2023 presidential tickets from both PDP and APC while a golden opportunity was given to them to really show commitment for 2023 but alas! They are still in deep sectional politicking.
Is there any political party that wants to waste their political fortunes in 2023? Let them give their presidential tickets to south east!
