In the early days of this administration, there were many efforts made by residents to continue with the processing of their home owners charter, while others sought to regularise their documentation and get approvals where necessary especially when the governor read the riot act to defaulters at various fora.

The Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning promised us that approvals will now be digitized and permits issued within 7 days to 14 working days and they have kept their word. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Bureau of lands has painstakingly produced a digital platform which will now manage Lands and payments associated with them. The Governor inaugurated OLARMS, Ogun State Land Administration and Revenue Management System on October 28 2021 and the platform is already working wonders. It is primarily meant to bring transparency to C of O processing as well as Ratification, Regularisation and transfer of title (requiring Governor’s consent) and other procedures in Land management in Ogun State. In simple English, with OLARMS you can now buy Government land as well as perfect your land titles.

The commissioner of Finance also assured that the Home Owners Charter which the previous administration had poorly managed will be seamlessly completed for hanging applicants, while investors in the state can now buy land from the comfort of their home countries from the state Government.

Kunle Somorin the CPS to the governor noted “OLARMS portal will therefore offer those who have encroached on the state government’s land in different parts of the state an opportunity to get title documents for such land via PRP, in an official pardon program which lasts till November 30, 2021,”
Those who had previously built on Lands belonging to the state Government are now going to be able to get their title documents done easily and within 30 DAYS of payment of Assessments will get their C of O! The scheme is currently in its first phase and will therefore affect only selected parts of the state namely:
1. Secretariat Acquisition Complex Site A (in Abeokuta); Ikereku-Olokuta, Ijeun-Lukosi, Laderin, AbuleOko, Agunrete
2. New Towns Acquisition(Obafemi Owode LGA); Aseese, Mowe, Orimerunmu, Ibafo Sefiu-Sote, Olowotedo, Magboro, Makogi
3. Sagamu-Ogijo Acquisition; Aiyetoro, Lukosi, Seidu, Ogijo, Ilara, Aguntoye, Simawa
4. LUD Ilaro Industrial Acquisition; Ilaro LUD

Therefore, your first step is to verify that your land falls under these schemes and that must be carried out by an accredited surveyor and verification must be done at the Bureau of Lands. Other steps and fees to pay will then be revealed afterwards.

I have a property in ikereku-laderin, as mention in the post, close to the baale's house. I'll do further findings. thank you.

The program the state government is running for now is Land Ratification for those who have developed on Government Acquisition only.

What one has to do therefore is to find out if one's land falls within Government acquisition(if one doesn't already know) and as well if the area is under the current program.
Then one would register for the property registration program and make all payments to the state government as indicated.
Following this, the land will be inspected and assessed. C of O will be issued 30 days after the assessment is paid.
