Both Direct and Indirect Primaries can be manipulated by those at the upper echelon who wields supreme political powers.

The case of Akinwumi Ambode in Lagos cannot be forgotten easily.
When Jagaban needed to strike, he upheld Direct Primaries and scored a political point against his boy whom he put in power.

Andy Uba mustered more than 200,000 votes during the APC primaries in Anambra state.
When it was time for actual voting, the numbers took a spiral downturn.

Ghosts can easily participate in primaries as evident in the Anambra primaries.
In the Indirect Primaries, money can be exchanged and the delegates cash out big time.

Direct Primary with BVAS will weed out the ghost vote.

Because they don't want to perform.
If you perform very well you won't worry about influencing at least partially who becomes your successor or you won't find it hard to aspire for more position.
They are all crooks.

Some regions can do this with success but some will use it to cause problems for their people.

Nigeria is too big to be one country.

Wake up from your slumber. Canada as a country has British Columbia as one of its state/province. Only British Columbia is bigger than the whole Nigeria put together. Don’t always think Nigeria is big. That’s a myopic reasoning.

Any person opposing direct primaries is an enemy of the nation.

Imagine governors are angry with direct system because it won't favour them in anointing their favorite or their Senate aspiration.
They're working behind curtains to use indirect system they can manipulate because members will kick them out

This direct primary is the hope of the common man.
It's a shame that a governor can actually say verbally that direct primary would make them not able to pick their successors like you see the level of impunity.....

most of the senators that voted for the direct primaries were former governors who know the kind of ruthless power they held as governors in determining who gets what.now, the table has turned against some of them in their respective states where some of the incumbent governors don't give the former space to breathe

Efcc will open the cases of some top politicians in Nigeria. They will likely be in jail during the primaries

Is it democratic for governors to choose their successors? Is it democratic that governors should subdue all opposition to his intention to retire to the National Assembly? Do we practice democracy in its true sense in Nigeria?

I know governors will oppose this because the 36 economic terrorists do not want others to see the light, they want to cover their tracts of corruptions

Aregbesola will definitely take over Osun from Oyetola.
Wait are you not tired of these old mfs? To even think that someone can still mention Aregbesola without been ashamed is terrifying!

I just pity the woke generation, all these things are big mental stress for us!
