The verse did not say that man was given a soul but that he became a soul, a living person.
Another verse is at Joshua 11:11a which says They went striking down everyone ( or every soul, in some translations) that was in it with the edge of the sword. The soul is here shown to be something that can be touched by the sword, so these souls could not have been spirits.
With these among other numerous verses shows soul is not spirit part of a human but rather it is the individual himself or herself that is a soul.

We believe in man having spirit, soul and body.

from the Bible quotations you made, it seems true, from the pupular beliefs, but we can still understand it from other points of view, when eckankar described Soul, they sees it as a spirit, which travels out from the Body,-persons, likewise other numerous beliefs, yours,is from Bible, but you never give thought to other people's books of reference, what it says about Soul.

Man was not created with a spirit from birth. He is instead a physical being, created from the physical clay of this earth and will return to it when he dies, should he do so rejecting God til his end - Genesis 3 vs 19 - 22
