If they hadn't used UNILAG, it will be a random news most folks won't read. Now people know about a 4 inch high heel race because their brand strategist successfully tied their relatively unknown competition to the prestigious UNILAG brand.

Don't be bitter...It's a good competition that should be welcomed globally,UNILAG is one school I wish I went to but unfortunately I settled for NOUN due to work and funds,gender...yeah without the opposite gender,I don't think you will be in existence...No gender is nonsense except transgender.

Those men who are part of the organising committee/board are there to exploit any girl who is exploitable. Sex is the agenda in the end. Sex sellls.
The man standing there is not even feeling an ounce of shame for bankrolling such a stupid-sounding competition as a man. Very effeminate. But, sexual exploitation is the end goal nau. Is it not Unilag girls again? He knows they'll come around. P*ssy in abundance, and many of them are loose, and from underprivileged families. So, exploitation toh sure gaan.
Lastly, this female gender will not seize to come up with stupid ideas which they consider creative. Then best graduating student in the faculty of sciences would now be awarded #10000 only. Let's not always rush to condemn other people's efforts.

Not a bad idea.. so far a tangible prize is attached.

Prizes are good for alleviation.

The whites know these and create competitions out of many life activities... These competitions are eventually sponsored by companies.

This in turn create jobs and income for participants, officials and many more.

You will marvel at the income we can generate and number of jobs that can be created from competitions from water sports alone in this country.

We're gifted differently... And should be encouraged accordingly.

This is same amount of money =N=200,000.00 Lagos State Government gave out to student that scored 9A's in this year 2021 WASSCE.

You can now see tertiary institution like UNILAG engages in something that does not add value to education system by voting so much money into such event.

Update from

A 200 level Actuarian Science student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), named Grace Utobuiro, has gone home with a whooping sum of N200,000 after emerging winner of the third edition of the 4 – Inch – High Heel Race competition, held at the NIS pitch of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

21- year old Grace defeated 14 other contestants to emerge winner at the one day 100 – meter dash event.

During the heats, she enjoyed easy runs, but was however given a strong challenge in the final by Favourite Eluwa and Zainab Ayinla who had to settle for the second and third positions respectively.

Utobuiro went home with N200,000 and gift items, while Eluwa and Ayinla received N150,000 and N100,000 respectively as well as gift items.

Speaking at the event, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of DMS Limited, Elder Dede Agwu Kalu, said he was impressed with the turnout and the high level of competitiveness exhibited by the participants, assuring of his continuous commitment to the competition and hoped to spread it to other states of the federation and other African countries.

He said the sport-tainment is about women being smart on heels when they wear them. He said: “It is absolutely necessary for ladies to wear high heel because it gives them a unique look and brings out the elegance in them.
