In the lecture class today, we argued about Illegal acts in relation to moral acts. It's quite considerable that Illegal acts are considered morally bad, like raping is illegal and morally bad, stealing as well. Now some actions as well as smoking, lying, defrauding (Yahoo), do these actions have moral discipline attached? Just asking to go about an essay on ‘illegal jurisdiction to moral acts' |

There is a difference when it comes to moral and legal actions. The society and time is usually a deciding factor when it comes to both. E.g; 1. Immoral and illegal: Rape and sexual assault is both immoral and illegal in most parts of the world. Yahoo is both immoral and illegal in those parts. 2. Moral and Legal: In parts of Asia and America smoking/abortion are both legal and moral. 3. Illegal In African society yahoo is only illegal but becoming moral with time. 4. Immoral Lying is immoral but not illegal unless you can prove the point using evidence beyond resonable doubt. Not greeting an elder is immoral but not illegal as well. The best thing is to get a copy of the constitution of your state or country to be on the legal safe side. |

it all depends on how you wanna look at the issue...whether on the "law" standpoint or the moral standpoint AND/OR who you are talking to, as we all know that what's morally right for Ahmed, may not be what is right for Jide. |
