Arsenal captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, has revealed that he didn’t sign for Tottenham earlier in his career because Spurs ‘never called back’.

Aubameyang explained he was close to signing for Tottenham only for the Premier League club to go cold over the transfer.

The Gabonese striker joined Arsenal from Borussia Dortmund in 2018 for a fee of around £58 million.

Aubameyang, who was one of the most sought-after players in Europe when he joined Arsenal, became Arsene Wenger’s last major signing at the Emirates.
