A Councillor in Bayelsa State, Priye Ebisoru, has announced a one-day educational outreach, for students in tertiary institutions, primary and secondary schools.

Ebisoru, a member of the Yenagoa legislative assembly, representing ward 13, while announcing the outreach, said the programme will hold on Thursday, November 18, in Biseni community.

The lawmaker explained that the outreach is aimed at sensitizing students and also empowering them with computers, books, mathematical sets and other learning materials.

She said that the program will also feature lectures which will be delivered by guest lecturers.

Ebisoru, while stating her reason for initiating a programme for students in the state said “Education is the bedrock of every society and it is a collective responsibility which every critical stakeholder must contribute his or her quota.”

She also added that the outreach is a necessity to complement the educational drive of the Bayelsa State government.
