October 20, 2020, is a memorable day for Nigerian Youths. On this day Nigerian youths came out en masse to protest police brutality in the Country. A good number of celebrities came out in solidarity with the movement.

There were reports that live ammunition was shot and people killed at the Lekki tollgate. This position was earlier refuted by some Government officials and celebrities. Mr Lai Mohammed had threatened to sue CNN for reporting the incident at the time.

In a swift turn of events, the final report of the Lagos State Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS Related Abuses states that there were shootings, some people lost their lives, and scores injured.
