Nigeria’s first choice goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has signed a four-year deal with French Champions Lille OSC

The 28-year-old signs as a free agent after completing his contract with Israeli side Hapoel Tel Aviv.

“I have signed a deal with Lille. It is for four years,” Enyeama confirmed.

The ex Enyimba shot-stopper will now get the opportunity to feature in next season’s Uefa Champions League with the three-time French champions who also won the French Cup in the just ended season.

Enyeama posted superlative performances at last year’s World Cup in South Africa to fuel rapid speculations about his future.

His move follows that of compatriots Taye Taiwo to recently joined crowned Italian kings AC Milan and striker Emmanuel Emenike to Turkish champions Fenerbache.

I did a check, the news is not untrue. The problem is that (IMO) he has to play back up to Mickael Landreau.

unfortunately too little too late. thank goodness he is a goal keeper, so age wont tell as hard on him compared to players in other positions.

Great! Another Nigerian player is gonna hopefully feature in the world's most intriguing football tournament. I wish him the very best of luck there, and for real, I'd definitely prefer to be a back up to Landreu in the team of the French champions in the UCL;than be the ultra first-choice in a mid table club in the Israeli football league!

It doesn't matter if he was signed as a back-up. If he's good enough, then he'll get a shirt.

Nigeria's number one must be a regular starter at a decent club. If Enyeama can't make it at Lille, then we should start looking for someone else.

with football age,he should be in his 40s.dont expect him to still have all those world cup reflexes.He should emulate his age mate Van der SAR and step down when d ovation is loudest
