Where can one find a standard mechanic that specialises on lexus brands. Why because I want to diagnose why my lexus car drinks a lot of fuel. Just today it stalled half way,I felt embarrassed cos I got about 12 litres yesterday,I did some aggressive driving between yesterday and in the morning my tank was on the last pin fuel indicator b4 i did some like aggressive driving and gbam ,it gave me like two signs of wanting to go off before I jejely parked nd knew my fuel had finished. Well I gt 15 litres and did aggressive driving again,it was 2 pins above half tank,and by the time i got home,after some aggressive driving,the 2pins vanished and now its on half tank. If I don't have aggressive driving tmrw,I must buy fuel,latest by Wednesday.i buy between 10 to 11k weekly. And i can't cope again. I need help, when I turn on the car,the engines pick directly. That was how I got it from a dealer,I don't know,if the car has catalyst or not. I have taken it to about 3 diff mechanic, 2 did guess work. One placed the oil dipstick into the pipe and felt something and said there is catalyst, another told me the second catalyst is not there,that it is only the one where the 02 sensor us plugged that there is catalyst
I started the car and he went underneath,then came to the second catalyst with 02 sensor. I got a code saying something like air mass sensor circuit. The only problem I I having is,I don't know if engine has thermostat of 2k or not,why the fans connect directly when engine is on,and fuel guzzler. Sometimes if I buy fuel,my pin stays there. I experienced this before in my former car . So I need a mechanic that has sense,knows his onions,has a big shop,not under tree mechanic. If it's too service the nozzles,or change plugs,or it's a faulty 02 sensor,or if truly there is catalyst or my catalyst is clogged.

Lol na para you Dey, your fan is not suppose to start directly at start up, which means thermostat is missing.

You don’t need a big shop or standard mechanic for this. You need a good scanning tools. I’d suggest you get yours. Once you scan start from the code you got.

And for the catalyst, have the panel bring out the 2 exhaust manifold and see with your korokoro eyes.

Did I say I have a problem withy mechanic or what. I am not new to cars just that I feel all mechanics are lazy and quacks. I wi make out time to visit my panel beater to disconnect and check if catalyst is there or not. Also I have dismantled my air flow sensor and sprayed with isopropyl and wait till tmrw to re install and rescan,if after scan it still shows error then na to place order online. However my faith with catalyst will be determined by Thursday,secondly I don't feel the thermostat has been removed cos everything s looks intact to me,aside that nothing else. If there no thermostat,then I'd place an order,secondly its story toy are telling me,my uncles car was shipped,clean title and it did not spend less than 3days,only thing tampered with was the windshield plastic cover right side missing or stolen. And I was there when the car was brought, started and we opened the engine while it was on,fans were all blowing direct
After 3 months mechanic dismantled where the thermostat was and it was still Intact just as factory. So is it now oyinbo man that did direct connection.

I did aggressive driving this morning and 1pin has dropped from half tank with my AC on. I went underneath to look at the catalyst and I was seeing like some lil smoke,maybe because I did zero to 100 within 9 seconds and parked. Well I heading to my guy mechanic today.

TAKE THE CATALYST OUT AND SEE WITH YOUR KOROKORO EYES.

Also don’t drive car until you confirm the catalyst.
Warning: make sure you are there while panel is working on the catalyst to avoid story that touches
