You think that woman and her husband have not been killing snakes? Yet when one snake got to her she couldn't survive because antivenom no dey for hospital. Nigeria does not harbour the most venomous snakes in the world yet Nigeria has more deaths by snake bites. Why? We have been killing snakes since the beginning of time in Nigeria and yet Nigerians die more from snake bites than any other country. Have you asked yourself why?? The white man realised that it is futile killing all the snakes in his environment. You can't kill them all, he instead devised a means to survive the bites from those snakes. That is what we should be doing. There should be more awareness and pressure to stock clinics and hospitals with antivenom vials for the most venomous snakes found in Nigeria.

Just last week, someone said snakes were overrated because they were not biting and killing people. Two people have died in space of one week alone.
