Pastor Udofia, 63, called out for allegedly taking an 18-year-old chorister as second wife (photos)

Apostle Peter Tom Udofia, the General Overseer of the Way of Salvation Church of Jesus Christ, in Calabar, has been called out after he got married to a much younger church member who is allegedly 18 years old.

 The 63-year-old clergyman married Sister Blessing Jeremiah Esu in Ikot Akpang Ikpong, Abak Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State. The ceremony took place on October 18, 2021

One month after the wedding, people began claiming the girl is just 18 and she was a chorister in his church when he married her.

This generated criticisms from people. Others also called him out for marrying again despite having a wife.See some posts calling him out below.

Though the lady in question is of legal age to marry any man of her choice, but the so called pastor have a wife who is still alive.The holy scriptures said if both parties are tired of the union, then they must remain unmarried till one dies before the other can remarry. So what Bible is he preaching?

Perhaps, the lady is pregnant but if not; it is desperation? How compatible is this kind of union wherein a 60yrs old man is getting married to his daughter? The gal in question isn't an slowpoke, what man has done is not against the law, and God never stated that you must marry and only marry one wife, or one husband, - Genesis 2 vs 24 & Matthew 19 vs 3 - 5 & Mark 10 vs 5 - 8 - vs so what is the big deal?
