Over 90 per cent of security challenges currently ravaging Nigeria are politically motivated, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State said on Saturday. According to him, it will therefore require political will to solve the security challenges in the country.

The governor also called on the National Assembly to pass the Hunters Council of Nigeria Bill which is currently on the third reading in the Senate. He stated this when the Commander-General of HCN, Joshua Osotimehin, visited him on Saturday.

The governor said that the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), inherited a drifting political and economic situation when he assumed office in 2015 and would need the support of Nigerians to tackle the challenges.

He said, “President Muhammadu Buhari inherited a country that was drifting security-wise, economic wise and otherwise. Mr. President inherited a country where bombs are being detonated every day in the North-East even in Abuja.

“Mr. President inherited a security system that was already decaying, ill-motivated, ill-equipped and not well trained. Mr. President has reviewed the welfare package of all the security forces in this country severally.

“I make bold to say that more than you can imagine, 90 per cent, of the insecurity we are witnessing today in our country is largely political, be it Boko Haram, banditry and farmers/herders clash, and even assassination sometimes, kidnapping.”

A good example is the unrest caused by Igbos in the South East for the Presidential post in 2023.

And the man spoke again.

So Bandits are PDP, Kidnapper are APC militant wing, Unknown Men Gun are Presidency's game plan, Separatist are APGA's Youth wing.

Anyway, when you have the mic, you can say anything.

Bokoharam started with Jonathan. Charles Okah his own very brother was the first person to start bombing in Nigeria and he did so on Independence day. He gave Bokoharam the go ahead to come out openly and then we started experiencing Bokoharam killings in Nigeria. They expanded to an extent of bombing ECOWAS office in Abuja. So forget all this nonsense you're copying and pasting. Jonathan started Bokoharam and Buhari's government has fought Bokoharam to a standstill.

[/s]shocked To be who you are is never easy.BH preceeded Jonathan even far back late Yar'Addua era but Buhari is the first prominent person to openly identify with their ideology because he have long nursed a jihadist ideology from antiquity.Still remember his "a fight against BH is a fight against the north" statement

So BH terrorists latched on this conviction to nominate him as their official spokesman with the then govt when Lt.Gen.Azubuike Ihejirika put so much heat on them that they started complaining of geno- cide to the UN.

Meanwhile, what is the story today? The region is an endless theatre of bloodshed, killings and death with same terrorists leaguing with bandits and ISWAP while the govt and elites continued to defend till date.So be guided.

Monumental shame I tell you. This is the same slowpoke angling for the presidency of this nation who ass was bursted by the EFCC over a 19.6B bail out funds stacked up in a new generation bank by the Kogi State government.
